This was absolutely fabulous! We stayed in an apartment that looked over the Anfiteatro (old Roman amphitheater) with a flower market. They had booked us a room in the B&B but had gotten the reservation mixed up, so still let us stay in the apartment with kitchen for the same price as a room. The prices are very fair, staff really nice, and accommodation superb. I would recommend highly!

Room Tip: If traveling with a small family, look into the apartments that they rent that look onto the amphitheater

We had a very clean bathroom and room. We had "Puccini" with not much of a view but plenty quiet.
Didn't take advantage of the breakfast too often but we were still looked after.
We were told that breakfast was from 8-10 but sometimes we hadn't got ready until after then and we know we still would of been fed.
The location was perfect for us with easy access to walls, shops and restaurants.
We wanted to hire bikes for the whole week but there was no facility to keep them locked up overnight, so we had to hire on a day by day basis. In the whole week, the fact that we couldn't lock them up here was the only "downer"
We would recommend this to all our friends for sure.

My husband, teenage daughter, and I stayed here one night. We loved this little apartment overlooking the piazza. It was called " Appartamento Piazza". We were a little early but Lucca met with us and we were able to leave our bags there until it was cleaned for us. The appartment was very clean and updated. The bedroom in the back overlooks the alley so it was quiet. My daughter slept on a comfortable cot in the front room. Lucca was having the grand opening of his new restaurant that night and kindly invited us. We enjoyed trying the food and wine. We cooked an American egg breakfast for ourselves in the small kitchin. This apartment is not included in the breakfasts as some others are. I especially loved the location and drinking wine looking out our window over the piazza in the evening. We wished we had more days to stay and would definitely stay in this particular apartment again due to its location.

Great location to explore the Lucca, you walk out the front door straight into it!
Good family restaurants nearby. Lots of shops to wander through.
Room was good mid size with large bathroom and very good shower.
All well maintained, friendly staff.
Breakfast was good, staff would cook eggs on request. Always fruit on the bench.
We took a taxi from the main train station for about 8 euro.

My husband and I stayed in this b&b in April 2012, and it was a great experience! The location is perfect, near everything, in the center of Lucca. The staff are very polite and friendly. The room is small but enough, it's clean and comfortable. The bathroom is ok too. No surprises! The breakfast is also very nice, fresh and you feel like home.
Also, Whenever you want (before go to sleep for example) you can go to the kitchen and do a Bialetti Coffee or a tea, like if you were home! We really recommend this hotel.
And we leave a suggestion: go to the restaurant - Il tre merli (just a few steps from the hotel) they have great food!
