Leonardo House was good. Quite small and basic but great location. Would stay there again.

We stayed at Leonardo House for 4 nights. Leonardo (the owner) is very friendly and helpful. As soon as we checked in he offered advice on places to visit and local restaurants offering good food. The house is in the center of historic Florence, within walking distance of various places of interest which a tourist in Florence would like to visit. It is also close to the bus/train station (Santa Maria Novella). Best value for money :)

Great place to stay as it's in a central location near all major sights and the train station! Leonardo is really nice & helpful. Any question you have or suggestion you want, he'll have an answer! Not the place to stay if you want a traditonal hostel experience though -- only a few rooms, and we did not meet any other travellers. No food is provided but it's near the Jolly Cafe for breakfast, and there is an awesome hot choclaote machine in the lobby!

Room Tip: In the winter, you'll want more covers. The room got very cold!

There's nothing better than seeing a smiling face to receive you after you have completed a long journey and Leonardo is just that kind of a person.Always smiling and ever so helpful. We stayed in two different rooms over the 4 nights we were (one had a shared bathroom and one with our private bathroom) and they were very comfortable. The towels and bedsheets provided were very clean. The location is a few 100 feet walk from the Duomo and the rest of the historical places.Make a point to land up before noon or after 4pm.Leonardo isn't there in between. They have a coffee vending machine at the door
