My family and I, (four adults) stayed here in late July 2016. This is a very well-run budget hotel in a great location for exploring Florence. The hotel is situated in a historic building near the house where Michelangelo lived. It is a small hotel, the rooms are compact to say the least but entirely adequate.
The owner Gabriele and his cousin, also Gabriele looked after us superbly on arrival, giving us refreshing drinks on a very hot day for travelling and carried our bags up to the bedrooms. There isn’t an elevator as the building is very old. The breakfast is very simple, cereal, yoghurt, croissants and great coffee.
Gabriele was extremely helpful in providing a map with locations of all the sites marked on it, recommendations for restaurants and also organising a taxi when we left. The lady who worked at the breakfast counter was also very nice.
We would have no hesitation in staying here again or recommending this hotel to anyone travelling to Florence.More
