“Beautiful, spacious flat”
Reviewed 4 weeks ago for a stay in June 2017

This flat was beautiful and quite spacious. It worked perfectly for my family -- my husband and me, plus two teenagers. The bathrooms were great and we loved the showers. It was very hot in Florence while we were there and the AC worked very well. It also had a working washer and dryer which was really helpful since we were on an extended trip.

I agree with other reviews -- I didn't realize how far it was from all of the sights in Florence. My family doesn't mind walking, but it was a good 25-30 minute walk to everything, which was hard in 90+ heat.

We downloaded the taxi app -- which sometimes worked perfectly, but sometimes would not have any taxis available. It did cost 10-14 euros to ride to the sites.

Once again -- it was a really nice place.

“Beautiful, clean and comfortable apartment”
Reviewed 4 June 2017 for a stay in May 2017

We thought this was a fantastic apartment. Very spacious, equipped with everything we needed and spotlessly clean. It is about 20 minutes walk away from central Florence (perhaps 30 from the Ponte Vecchio) but most of the walk is down quiet streets and is no problem if you're reasonably fit and happy to stroll. The owner met us at the apartment and was helpful to the point of booking our taxi back to the airport, which we really appreciated.

very nice.
I would have preferred white sheets and covers as it makes it feel a bit cleaner but i would definitely recommend this to friends.

“A beautiful apartment....but”

This apartment is located in a quiet area of Florence. It is exactly as presented in the photographs, large, well appointed, easily roomy enough for 6 adults/families, beds comfortable, outdoor terrace. Stated as on the 3rd floor, don't forget Europe starts at level -0-, so there are 4 flights of stairs. (A consideration with small children, strollers, or those with mobility issues.) The booking process was easy, Daniella met us as scheduled upon arrival and check out, with recommendations for dining, location of the supermarket, etc. Lights in the stairwell are timed, and we were caught in the dark once...thank goodness my husband had a mini flashlight! (Our friend was slower on the steps with a knee issue!)

My only complaint, which has nothing to do with the apartment or service/booking, is the LOCATION. Others have stated a "20 minute walk to downtown". Unless my map, or GPS was wrong (as I utilized both, referring back to property reviews of 20 minute walk), it is a solid 40 minutes, and we are brisk walkers, very use to 10-12 miles a day on vacation. I personally love the markets of Europe, and enjoy staying at apartments near them, as I utilize them for our meals. Shopping at what I consider a "grocery store" wasn't what I planned, and was the best way to do things IMHO from this location. Vacation time is precious, and many things we had planned and booked, required a taxi, because of scheduled times. Again, this was MY error, and does NOT in any way reflect on the property itself. This is just something to consider when booking.

As a side note, download the TAXI.IT app. The taxi arrived within 3 minutes. As the property manager suggested, a taxi from the train station is your best option on arrival. 4 people $10 to downtown Florence.

Again, I cannot say enough about the property itself and the management team/owners. Everything went as planned, and I adored the apartment!

“Wonderful flat in Florence”

There's no getting around it: Florence is a tough town in the summer. It's hot and crowded, and when you get back after a long day of sightseeing, the Giambologna Loft was a wonderful place to rest.

Daniela met us at the apartment when we arrived, showed us around, and gave us a nice introduction to the area. The apartment is beautiful, with lots of space for family and a cool little outdoor patio with a chess set that you can play and chill out.

The apartment IS within walking distance of the old city, but cabs are cheap and plentiful (except for our large party of 5, when we usually needed 2), so we did end up walking quite a bit.

We would absolutely recommend the loft for your family vacation in Florence.
