This is a museum with a difference. It doesn't hold actual pieces of da Vinci's work, but instead has reproduced some of his inventions, like the underwater diving apparatus, tank, other weapons and labour saving devices designed to improve life. Most items can be touched and used. There is a room where you can try and do some puzzles and fiddle with his gadgets. There is also a very god film about his life and models of parts of the body he had worked on. The emphasis here is the machines, not the art. Our children aged 10, 12 and 17 enjoyed it - particularly the throat disection! It shows his diverse interests and talents. It wasn't very crowded either!
