Great value for money hotel, pretty central in Florence. We asked for quiet rooms, and got some small, but peaceful and clean rooms on the last floor, we could see Santa Maria del Croce from our windows and a panoramic view of Florence. For the breakfast -there are packed vollkorn bread slices (German healthier bread) as a better option to the classic soft white bread. The people working there were helpful and friendly, we enjoyed our stay very much.

We stayed two nights at Hotel Bodoni. Our travel details changed unexpectedly and the front desk staff were super helpful.
The room was on the first floor which was slightly inconvenient to return to the 4th floor to leave the key when we went out. The rooms on the 4th floor would be more convenient. We did have a view of the Duomo. The street is busy, but there are double Windows going out tithe balcony which block almost all of the street noise.
The room was sparse but very large and clean. It had a fridge and a small counter with two stools. Since there is a small grocery store across the street, we took the opportunity to have a picnic style dinner of Tuscan wine and cheeses.
The shower was the style that is in the middle of the room with fold up doors as an enclosure. I had read about that in other reviews so I was not surprised and I did not find it to be a problem.
Breakfast could have had a bit more variety but the staff are very attentive providing coffee service to each table. The breakfast area has amazing views.
All in all a good hotel for the budget minded.

We were not sure about the Hotel since it is only rated two stars.
But People are very friendly (also German speaking) and tray to make you stay very enjoyable and you find a typical Italian Hotel.
The Hotel is locate almost at the end of one of the Shopping streets and very Close (10 min. walk) ro the majority of Tourist spots.
What we liked the most ist the high quality breakfast (bred, fresh orange juice, fresh Espresso, etc.) I may tell you is great for this class of Hotel.
The rooms are rather small but clean and enough space for cloth. But who will stay for longer than to sleep in the room ? There is so much too in Florence.
It is rather loud outside for those who like to keep the windows open in the night (calming down at approx 3am). You also find an aircon in the room, we never used and got used to the noice but had fresh air in the room.
I would recommend that hotel to anybody except handicapped people or people who do not like narrow (or old) elevators (breakfast room and Lobby are in the fourth floor).
There are many rooms in the fourth floor but these are not refurbished and do have better views (we were told by the Management of the Hotel but did not see).
The photos of the rooms you see here are the refurbished ones in the first floow (our
was #37).
.
If you choose that Hotel: there is a roof terrasse with splendid view over Florence and time to relax (there also some sunbeds).
We would definitely again choose that Hotel if we once come again to Florence

Room tip: Corner rooms in 1st floor are little smaller than the others, find further comments within the review

The location is great! It's a 20 minute walk from the train station and 10 to 15 minutes at the most from the most important touristy sites. The staff was really friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent! Delicious and varied. The bathroom was in our room which was a big plus since it was kinda difficult to find a hotel that didn't have a shared bathroom or outside the room. Would definitely stay there again :)

This hotel is only 5 minutes away from the duomo - very central and within walking distance from the main attractions. Rooms definitely need a renovation, however they are kept clean. The breakfast is good and the staff is very friendly and helpful.

Room tip: Rooms on the first level seemed to be better.
