“A Full Day Offering Breathtaking Scenery & Adventure - Very Well Organized. You Will Not Be Disappointed.”
Reviewed 4 February 2012

We heard wonderful things about Cinque Terre so decided to reserve a day long tour with Walkabout Tours. We had an amazing time. A real highlight of our entire trip to Italy. Douglas, our tour guide was superb. Knowledgable and very well spoken, as were the other two guides. The bus trip there and back was very comfortable and the lunch in a beautiful restaurant overlooking the ocean was simply amazing. This tour offers something for everyone. It can be challenging, but you can do it as fast or as slow as you want. There's plenty of time to explore on your own and the guides are always available to answer questions or provide assistance. We used every mode of transportation available - bus, train, boat and of course our legs. Wear good shoes, bring a hat and sunscreen, and get ready for a Full day of adventure. Excellent value for the money. You will not be disappointed. We would go back in a heartbeat.

“If you only have one day to see Tuscany take this tour!!”
Reviewed 2 February 2012

I normally don't like doing tours in Europe. After reading the previous reviews decided to do this tour since we only had one day in tuscany. Very well organized. Started off in Siena with a tour guide. Then off to lunch at an organic farm. Each course was paired with a different wine. The views from there of San Gimignano were incredible. Then to San Gimignano to explore before seeing Pisa. It's a long day but you get to see a lot of Tuscany. normally every tour in europe takes you to some store or shopping center that they want you to buy stuff in. Here it's all about the locations. Even though I would have liked to spend more time in San Gimignano and could have done without pisa, there is no way you can do all of that by yourself in one day. So glad we did it and highly recommend it!!

“Absolutely awesome excursion”
Reviewed 2 February 2012

My husband and I went on the Cinque Terre Trek bus tour from Florence last September and would thoroughly recommend it to anybody. We turned up at the departure depot early on the morning of the tour without any booking but were able to get a couple of seats. Our guides on the bus, Douglas and Alex, made the trip there enjoyable with their local and personal anecdotes. In one day you get to visit all 5 of the villages along the Cinque Terre coastline travelling between them by a combination of trekking, training and a ferry ride. The lunch that was included was yummy and the view from the restaurant amazing! Make sure that you take Douglas's advice and get some local gelati at one of the villages and be a bit more adventurous than me and go for a swim! It was a long day but one that I will remember forever. An aussie traveller.

“Amazing trip that everyone should do if they're in that area”
Reviewed 1 February 2012

The guides were helpful, knowledgeable and amazing. We had a great time. We had enough time to go through all five villages. Buses were available if you had bad knees, which was a bonus for me.
I would recommend this trip to anyone.

“A favorite”
Reviewed 29 January 2012

We would highly recommend this tour. This was one of our most memorable experiences.
Pros: You really see an amazing mix of cities and places. Starting in Sienna you are able to see some beautiful art and history. The tourguide there is excellent. From there we went to the best lunch we had in Italy. It is located in the countryside on a farm and there is winetasting with each course. It was simply amazing and the views couldn't be described, you just have to see it. The next town is San Gimigianno which is a cool little hill town with lots of towers. It also has some of the world's best gelatto. From there we went to Pisa and saw some amazing buildings, including taking the standard photos with the leaning tower. We then took a little tour of Pisa before heading home. Our tour guide, Becky, was excellent. She was very accomodating for us given that my wife was 5 monhts pregnant. She kept everyone on schedule and was very knowledgable.
Cons: none.
