The apartment was incredible !!! Check in was a breeze as we called the host and were met at the apartment and helped upstairs with the luggage. A tour of the apartment showed the many hidden gems of the space.
Very spacious apartment with separate kitchen, 2 full bathrooms, 2 huge bedrooms, living room, laundry room, eating area....absolutely incredible.
The location is mere steps away from the Duomo and all the main sights in Florence. All amenities are close by including grocery stores (2 of them), ice cream, restaurants, shopping, etc...
The only hassle is parking in Florence which you need to reserve beforehand inside the main city as it is "ZTL" (Zona Traffica Limitata - basically you cannot drive inside the main centre without a pass and having your plate registered with the police so you get no parking ticket) They did recommend some garages to park the car which we took care of and reserved, on Via Ghibellina, just around the corner.
A fantastic apartment in the ideal spot in Florence. I would not hesitate to re-book this apartment or recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay.
The apartment was perfectly located near the Duomo and all the great sites. It has all the historical charm but with all the modern conveniences. Beds were very comfortable. Great food and bars everywhere with the best fruit juice bar across the street for those who like to be healthy. You will not be disappointed if you stay here.
The apartment is well equipped, clean and very comfortable. The location is amazing being minutes from the Duomo, Piazza della Repubblica and Piazza della Signoria and next door to Dante's house! It's an easy 20 minute walk (even with bags) from the station and is on a bustling street with cafes and shops which allow you to feel part of Florence life. The apartment has large windows in the bedrooms and one of the living areas which when open allow a pleasant draught throughout. When closed, the apartment is peaceful and as the bedrooms are on the back of the building it is quiet apart from the beautiful sound of the church bells.
The beds are extremely comfortable and the two bathrooms are a plus. We loved the decor which just oozed history.
One minor point, the stairs were a bit of a challenge as although the apartment is on the first floor, there are two flights of stairs which in keeping with the apartment are of the period but the hand rail is a big help.
We loved this apartment and would highly recommend and if I were lucky enough to return to Florence I would definitely stay again.
We are a family of five and were more than comfortable. We loved the decor, bed comfort, and especially the location, would highly recommend
We traveled to Florence with our teenage daughters and loved our 10 day stay in this apartment. It was the perfect location for us. We could walk to all of the major sights and had great little shops, cafes, and restaurants right outside our door. The apartment itself is very spacious and comfortable. It's a little dark, but very nice with all of the windows and shutters open. The kitchen has basic dishes and appliances, but no food, spices, or extras. The wifi worked great. It was hot in Florence during our stay, but the apartment stayed fairly cool and the bedroom air conditioners worked great overnight. The bedrooms are both over a quiet courtyard and the beds are very comfortable. There are 2 flights of stairs to get in to the apartment. There is a washer, but just a clothesline for drying. Overall, a great place to stay.
