Staff friendly and the place was clean. Room was relatively comfortable. Major downside was noise. Two of three nights there was a lot of noise from nearby bars until very late at night. Also, our room was right off of the lounge area and one morning several guests were there and were very loud (either didn't stop to think they might be impacting other guests or didn't care). Given the layout of the residence, this place would benefit from quiet hours in the lounge. Probably not much can be done about street noise with such an old building.

Room Tip: ask for a room that is not directly off the lounge

I really enjoyed the location of this room,it is the nearest to duomo and shopping area,u even can easily come back to take a rest or drop something and continue your visits
The A/C needs to be stronger and it is noisy for people who are not used to city life
Nearby Armani shop is renovating and workers start their noise early in the moring with all their machinery
Room needs more clothes hangers not only in the cupboard for even towels we don't know where to put them when taking a shower.
Coupons for breakfast is a good idea and available kitchen
Pleasant welcome from Lorenzo the owner
The rooms are not sound proof, u can here everyone moves in other room in & out

Room Tip: Away from noise and check out the air condition

We really enjoyed staying in this unusual B & B. From the time you open the heavy wooden front door and ride the double shuttered lift to the fourth floor apartment, you really know you're in old Florence. It is just around the corner from the Duomo so you can't get lost looking for your hotel. It took about 15 minutes to walk to the Accademia to see the statue of David and about the same to get to Ponte Vecchio. It's also around 10 minutes to the main railway station. You get access to a kitchen at the hotel, including the contents of the fridge - juice, yoghurt etc. Also fruit and pastries are there for you. You get a voucher for a pastry and a coffee at the cafe over the road and that serves as breakfast. The room we had was spacious, modern and very clean, with air conditioning if required. We stay in many hotels but this was certainly something different and I recommend it to Trip Adviser readers.

Entirely happy after a four night stay. Can't get closer to the centre of the tourist area, just a short walk from the Duomo.

It was very clean, there was a voucher for croissant and coffee from a nearby cafe for breakfast, they had water, tea, coffee and pastries as well as fruit and yogurts for free in the kitchen.

Staff were friendly and went above and beyond by waiting until after 1am as we arrived so late due to a delay on our inbound flights.

There was some noise from the street outside but one has to expect this given its unbeatable location in the centre of it all. There's also a lift, so no need to carry luggage up the stairs.

You can't ask for a better location for your money. The rooms are nice, clean and the innkeeper is very sweet and provides a refrigerator in a common area with water, juices, yogurts, etc. You will have some difficulty if you don't speak Italian but nothing insurmountable. Our only complaint was that there was almost zero water pressure during our stay, and our emails asking about this were ignored. The water barely trickled out of the showerheads -- you'd literally get more from a drinking fountain in a public park. Other than that, we loved the place. The location is peerless and the price is right. If there were water pressure, this would be a five-star review.
