We had a marvelous stay in this beautiful home located in a quiet neighborhood of Taormina. The updated bath and kitchen were great as were the 180 degree views of the city and sea from the terrace. Our host, Nino who lives on the first floor was the perfect host and gave us wonderful insider advice on restaurants and touring. We really enjoyed meeting him and learning about the history of the house and neighborhood. Highly recommended.
Anyone that has the opportunity to spend time at Villa Aurora will have a memory to remember for the rest of their lives. The Villa is located a short walking distance from the hub of Taormina's shops, restaurants and landmarks.
The Villa itself is beautiful. It has the most spectacular views of Taormina. Its very clean with everything you need for a fantastic self contained stay.
The owner of he Villa, Nino, is the most amazing host and will do anything to make you stay memorable. He is very well connected in Taormina and great source of information.
We stayed there for one week and had the most amazing time. I would highly recommend Villa Aurora to anybody.
Great apartment in a traditional villa. The owner Nino was extremely helpful in arranging excursions for us and he even shared tomatoes and basil from his garden! Easy walk to the fantastic centre of Taormina.
I stayed in this lovely home in July and it was exceptional. To the owner meeting me with fresh vegetables from his garden and the bottles of wine and water waiting in the fridge, all contributed to a lovely stay in Taormina. The home is quiet, the bed very comfortable, the kitchen fully stocked with all you need to create meals, the living room, the bath -- all clean, all comfortable and exactly what I wanted.
Then there's the very large and lovely terrace. I spent a lot of time out there. It has a shade umbrella if you don't want to sit in the sun and comfortable loungers and chairs. I read, worked/played on my iPad and napped during the day on the deck. It was heaven. I even slept outside a few nights with the light warm breezes and the stars. The short walk to the center of town is easy and a little bit of an exercise (thankfully after eating all of that gelatto and pasta) -- friendly people going by, me stopping to take in the views and then in town -- great restaurants (try Licchia's and La Botte)
and shopping. It is a very friendly town and just wander and enjoy. I loved the apartment/home and Taormina. I will return to both! Thank you, Nino
Absolutely lovely apartment, being the upper level of an old villa. Full of character with traditional wooden shutters and furniture and with a modern, spotlessly clean & well equipped kitchen that you can happily cook in should you wish - we bought & cooked fish from the local market a couple of nights. Absolutely stunning views (the photos don't begin to do it justice) from the large terrace across to Taoromina old town and down to the sea. Nino, the owner's father, lives downstairs with his very sweet (and very old, bless her) dog Sofia. He couldn't have been more warm and welcoming, giving advice on where to visit, a recommendation for a very good local restaurant that we ended up visiting several times & he even brought us tomatoes & basil fresh picked from his garden that surrounds the villa. 'Welcome pack' of bread, eggs, wine, butter etc was great & the kitchen also had tea, fresh coffee, oil, salt etc, to set you up for the week. Highly recommended.
