My niece and I stayed at Grand Hotel Minareto -- a hotel we highly recommend. We enjoyed high quality service, a very nice room facing Syracuse with a view on the bay, the hotel's swimming pool and small beach made of white sand, excellent food ... We simply had a fantastic time and this is a marvellous experience we recommend. Grand Hotel Minareto was the nicest hotel we stayed at during our trip in Sicily.

This is a really nice hotel with friendly staff. We stayed out of season so the hotel didn't have many guests. Breakfast was good and the beach clean. The pool wasn't warmed so we only used it when it was hot. The sea was warmer on a couple of occasions. The rooms were nice and cleaned every day. The free internet on the big screen TV was handy on more than one occasion. All in all a really pleasant stay and we'd definitely stay there go again.

My stay in this wonderfoul resort was very positive. I enjoyed lots of things. The warm welcoming reception where the staff were very helpfull and help you with everyting you need. The hall is very stylish and elegant. We stayed in the suite 244. It's a very big room with 3 different open spaces. A big living room with nice sofa and a big wide screen tv. A very comfortable bedroom with a king side bed and all the comfort you need. Then there is the most exclusive part of the room. A jacuzzi with a big window just in front of the sea. The view you can enjoy from there is amazing. The suite also has a private area on the rockyside were you can go swimming or sunbathing. If you prefer you can choose beetwen a semi-olympic swimming pool or a private beach. Everything was perfect at the gh minareto. I will definately return.

The hotel does not correspond to the declared service. Information on a hotel site does not represent the facts. In hotel there is no equipped sandy beach. The bar with a survey platform (Minareto) does not work. There is no transfer on a boat to Syracuse. Palm trees in hotel territory in the dried up condition. TV only paid satellite (Sky). In numbers very bad sound insulation, especially in a bathroom - you hear everything that occurs in the next number! Many sun-protection umbrellas at pool in failure condition. The hotel territory dirty, the personnel goes on territory by privately owned vehicles. The restaurant is through a public road. The hotel makes impression of board. During a high season 7-8 numbers are occupied. Practically anybody from visitors does not use restaurant in the evening (2-3 little tables are occupied from 20). In 2-3 days in hotels arrange actions - corporate evenings or weddings. The hotel does not approach for long comfortable stay (10-12 days), a maximum 1-2 days. The positive moment - the personnel which serves restaurant and a bar at pool. It is friendly and sociable.

We stayed 2 nights at the Minareto and were impressed with its magnificent position overlooking the Bay of Siracusa. Our accommodation was in a bungalow, a 2 minute walk across the road from the main reception area and restaurant. Our car had to be left in a parking area next to Reception. When raining, this distance could be a distinct black mark for a 5 star hotel. Our room was very nicely furnished in a grand black & gold manner. The twin beds were firm and two stylish easy chairs, as well as 1 "desk" chair, were provided. Sadly, there are no bathtubs in any of the rooms in this hotel but the shower had good pressure. At night the room is lit up like a Christmas tree in the dark with red lights, green lights and blue lights from all the electronic gadgetry. There is a small card which must be placed on the bed if a change of sheets is not required. We did not place the card on the bed, as we wanted clean sheets, but our sheets were not changed. We electronically lit the Do Not Disturb sign but the cleaner ignored this and made up our room while we were at breakfast. The hotel restaurant has no lift to the upper floor where dinner was served. The dinner we ate there was mediocre and expensive. Breakfast is served on the lower floor and had a good selection of hot & cold foods. The air was so hot in the breakfast room that we had to ask the staff to turn up the aircon, which they did. Staff in general were helpful and eager to please. The pool and surrounds are excellent. When we were checking out, management were interested to hear our comments and suggestions.
