A rather evocative name but really its the Regent/Oxford street of Catania with lots of retail therapy options - although it does have the Piazza for the University and joins the Fonataine dell Ellefante.

Explore this beautiful street full of people and dynamism. our hotel was also on that street which is central and well located. from this street, you can go to several squares and small streets. Also lots of shopping and restaurants in it. a must see walk back and forth.
The main shopping street but significantly improved over most by the view of Etna at the end of it. As well as shops there are also some beautiful Sicilian baroque buildings.
This street from Piazza del Duomo up to the foothills below Etna. It's said that on a clear day you can see Mt. Etna rising majestically from the foothills. We had to be satisfied with glimpses when the showers cleared. We criss-crossed the street by bus on a number of occasions and also enjoyed a short stroll. Shops of all types displaying an array of merchandise, restaurants, cafes, bars, hotels, the street was a hive of activity. Definitely worth visiting to either browse or just enjoy the atmosphere and views.
Ahhh....Via Etnea in Catania. Nice shopping and walking street where no cars are allowed. Whether you just want to go for a walk with your dog or shop or sit down and have a delicious espresso, Via Etnea has it all !
Via Etnea can be called as the main street in Catania. You can find many places to shop. It is generally crowded. In Christmas you can see Christmas market along the street.
