Santuzza, the owner of Castello D'Urso Somma is the consummate hostess, she could not have been more helpful or more polite.
We were here for a wedding and the location was pure heaven, the castle, the pool, the company, i could not have asked for a better holiday.
Nestled in an orange grove far enough away from the hustle and bustle of Catania to be serene yet close enough to be convenient, this piece of paradise is sure to wow any visitor, we will be back. Thank you Santuzza

Hidden away behind huge gates off a slightly shabby country road near the airport isn't where I expected to find such a magnificent B&B - but magnificent it is. We stayed in a bungalow nestled in lovely gardens, relaxed in the amazing pool and with the help of the host family saw the best of Catania. The staff were all friendly - despite what must have been trying times with our enormous group there - and they kept the grounds pristine throughout. Our room was comfortable - for what little time I spent in it - and I loved having my own coffee machine. I can't say enough to recommend this place - don't bother with the expensive beachside hotels - it's definitely my first pick next time I go back.

Visited the Castello for a group holiday, absolutely loved the setting - the olympic sized pool and gardens were perfect for lounging in the sun.
The owners bent over backwards to make sure we had a great time and were perfect hosts. Can't wait to return!

We have stayed at Castello D'Urso Somma on several occasions. We discovered it via Trip Advisor last year and stayed there for a whole week. It was the most beautiful, relaxing holiday we had been on and we loved it so much, that we recently celebrated our wedding there! It is the most welcoming, charming place we have ever stayed at, Santuzza, Francesco and the rest of the D'Urso Somma family did everything they possibly could to make us feel welcome. It is the kind of place we will continue to visit for years to come and we will always cherish the memories it has helped us create. Oh, and it has THE BIGGEST AND BEST swimming pool!!

We only stayed one night at this delightful spot. We were greeted so warmly that we instantly felt at home. We were able to buy dinner there as we arived late in the day and we were leaving early the next day and had no car so didn't want to venture far away. Our room was very comfortable and the expansive grounds were available to us to wander in. It was not warm enough for a swim but the huge pool looked very inviting. We were able to arrange an airport transfer with the owners even though it was very early in the morning. Thanks to the lovely staff, Santuzza, Francesca and Esther who couldn't have been more helpful and friendly.
