We found Lucrezia on the slow-chic website. It was perfectly described--tucked in a gorgeous courtyard. Rooms and common spaces were beautifully furnished.

We took advantage of the hotel's multi-course garden dinners twice and were really happy with the food.

There is not a ton in the town, but we mostly day tripped to the amazing beaches that were 20 minutes or so away.

A very old walled house and garden (until 2000) in the centre of the town which has since been converted into the most unique small hotel that I have ever stayed in. Apart from some difficult parking at times, the hotel was absolutely immaculate. The staff could not have been friendlier, arranging horse riding, cycle hire and just being there for late coffee and Mirto after sampling a local restaurant. The breakfast was very good and the one evening meal we ate there was exemplary. The room was very comfortable (with original period furniture) and the garden was a true oasis. This is definitely one we will return to!!

This is a lovely peaceful hotel located in the Very small Sardinian village of Riola Sardonia, not in the city of Oristano. We stayed two nights here. Our room was large and furnished with antiques, although the bed was large, modern and comfortable. The nicest feature of the hotel is the central garden which is a peaceful place to relax, read, have a glass of wine or otherwise just chill.

The breakfasts are very nice with a wide selection. We had dinner at the hotel one night (not sure if they serve it every night) and found it to be good and a good value. The staff are helpful providing information on local activities. Wifi is good. The village is small with little to do but I did spend some time sitting on a bench at the main intersection with several of the other locals and just watched the traffic go by. May sound weird but it is a favorite past time in many small villages.

Most importantly, the Lucrezia is a lovely hotel which comes with a strong recommendation.

Room tip: All unique and good, just stay there and be happy you are there!

A very lovely small B&B-style hotel located in the center of a traditional (i.e., not touristy) Sardinian village near Oristano. What makes it so special is the phenomenal attention to detail in the property and its decor. Every aspect of this traditional enclosed house compound has been completely renovated with authentic antique flavor, but in a manner that is tastefully modern and comfortable. Rooms, sitting areas, courtyard, and lounge are serenely peaceful and a real delight to have the opportunity to use. Dinner in the courtyard was a great experience.

Staying in town of Riola Sardo was also quite memorable. At first sight it is not particularly much to see, but after staying there for three days, we were sad to leave. The town, and the Lucrezia, make you feel somehow connected. The town and its neighbors are in the center of the vernaccia wine region, and its location is central to exploring the several interesting beaches of this region. As others have mentioned, the in-town Pizzeria is excellent, and gives one the opportunity to experience local life.
