The Church is a focal point for those travelling to Cagliari by plane or ship. It stands at the top of a beautiful staircase which leads upto the church.
Bonaria is the name used to name Buones Aires in Argentina.
The church has a beautiful interior, peaceful, elegant, tranquil and it is a wonderful place to spend a few moments in prayer and/or thought.

It is one of the oldest and the most important sanctuary of the island. It became one of the landmark of Cagliari. Its origin came back to 14th century. The famous statue of the Virgin Mary (can be seen inside) has an interesting legend. The sanctuary is located on a hill on the eastern part. The building itself is impressive, nice architecture, but the interior is less beautiful.
