Right from our arrival we were made to feel welcome. All staff were clearly passionate about the food as well as providing an excellent service. The waitresses were wonderful - attentive but without being overbearing and very efficient. We had the antipasti between the three of us; there was a lot there and we couldn't manage any other courses but it was delicious ... One of our favourite meals of the fortnight's holiday in Puglia. The bill was also very reasonable and that was including wine. As the restaurant grew to capacity over the course of the evening we were in no way overlooked; in fact, the atmosphere was just lovely. A real gem of a place, highly recommended!

We had lunch here (without reservation, might be hard on busy days!) and had a great experience. The waiter let us know about the primi that were available---all fresh, "fuori menu," and interesting. I had ravioli with porcini and grana while my wife had pasta, fagioli, and cozze. Both were excellent. We had vegetables for our secondi, and all were very well done. The melanzana really tasted of melanzana (and not oil or blah); the peppers were good, and they brought us some agro-dolce onions as well. Much better than your typical "we have grilled vegetables" sort of contorno you find at many restaurants. I don't know how much English is spoken, but the waiters were both enthusiastic, friendly, and accommodating to us. Recommended. Prices were moderate to low for the area (we paid 35 for lunch for two with 2 courses + wine, which seems pretty fair)

The atmosphere was amazing. There just have been a celebration of someone's birthday or something and we got sucked into it, as though we belonged. Truly amazingly hospitalble and welcoming. Terrific wine 12.5 Primitivo. And food...every dish home cooked with love and adoration. From pizza, to fish, friction misto was superb as was the sepia or squid, rounded off with creamy tiramisu and outstanding lemoncino...you can't go wrong. One of the most giving and welcoming hosts is Antonio as well.

We arrived and got served a pasta, we presume because they had spare?!? New to us, but excellent. We then had the house antipasti (15+ different dishes) between two and were absolutely stuffed and very pleased! We followed this with tiramisu and profiteroles.

We read reviews saying that the food kept coming. This is an understatement.

Excellent ambiance, wonderful service. And a very reasonable price.

We read about this place on Tripadvisor whilst on a roadtrip in Italy. The reviews did not lie. We arrived a bit early but they let us in anyway and within five minutes we had water and bread with olive oil and a delicious tomato sauce.
We got the menu and we're trying to decide what to have when the waiter came to us and asked us if we wanted the appetisers. We read about them so we decided to try it.
Wow!!! The amount of appetisers we got was massive, and they kept on bringing more. We haven't had that good food since we arrived in Italy.
After the appetisers we were full and so we felt a bit guilty about not ordering anything else, but the waiter said it was no problem and cleaned our table.
We recommend this place very much! If you are passing through of staying in Taranto, make sure you come here!!!
