Had a lovely stay at this B&B. The room we had was spacious and superclean - one of the two rooms (no. 19 and 21) with a picturesque balcony. Friendly staff. Arrival by car: make sure you tell the B&B beforehand that you would like to park in their tiny garage. If you are a light sleeper, however, you should choose another location as the Italians use the main cobblestoned road in front for their nightly circuit.

Our first night in Italy, we stayed in Verona at "Al Castello". Our room was larger than expected and very clean. The Air Conditioning was excellent and we even got a little chilly! I suggest getting a map of Verona first before trying to find it. It is down the street from the beautiful castle. The entrance is on a side "vicolo" (which means "alley") but the front faces the main street that the castle is on. You just can't enter from the front. If you can find the castle, you can find the hotel! Across the street you can walk to the river. Very beautiful location in Old Verona.

We stayed in one of two rooms which have balconies that face the main street. It can get a little noisy with cars but not as noisy as staying in NYC! We slept just fine. You can get smaller rooms towards the side and back which are very quiet, less Euro, but small. From the little balcony you can see the castle and quaint city buildings. We attended the Opera Aida at the Arena and found it to be so close we walked. I suggest going to some event at the Arena while you are in Verona!!! Amazing! We walked to Guiliette's balcony from here, great shopping, gelato around the corner and ristorantes.

The breakfast was very European--pastries, fruit, ham and cheese, granola, yogurt, juice and coffee. It was well set and a perfect breakfast before touring beautiful Verona. The people who run the B & B are very nice and pleasant. We don't have any complaints.

Had a B&B family run feel. Fantastic location for the famous arena....only a few mins away on foot. The hotel staff were excellent and made us feel very welcome. The breakfast was more than adequate for us. The twin room we stayed in was very small but I think the others were bigger. The air con was brilliant!....which was good as it was 30 degrees at night. Would definitely stay there again if going back to Verona.

We have just returned from a wonderful few days in Milan and Verona. Verona itself is almost perfect and Al Castello is almost perfect too.
Situated on the first floor, accessed from a pretty little cobbled street and close to the beautiful Castelvecchio, the hotel is absolutely charming.
Our room was very pretty, comfortable and immaculate - with our very own balcony! Although the reception area and breakfast room were small, there was everything we needed.
The staff were welcoming, helpful and warm.
Everything a visitor would want to experience is a short walk away.
I would thoroughly recommend this lovely hotel.

As in the title I did not get a chance to stay in the Hotel. Indeed when I called they told me that the room was available but the next day they called my back saying that the "misunderstood" some bookings. Well ... no words for that. Luca from Vercelli, Italy.
