Owner description: Relive the tragic story of Shakespeare's unhappy lovers by visiting some of Verona's fortified houses built at that time, including the homes of both Romeo and Juliet.

Not far from the main shopping street, its free, its fake but still enjoyable. Gets very busy but still has the ability to create some atmosphere regarding the balcony. It might not be the same balcony but....If I had one criticism, its the archway to the courtyard. Its has become a mecca to graffiti created from bubblegum and sticking plasters!! Yuk! How anybody thinks this is acceptable.

Why would you go to some place that you know is not real? I can not understand it. This is not Romeo's house because there was no real Romeo.

You have to be a real Romeo and Juliet fan to appreciate this site. Yes, I know its mostly made up and Verona uses it for a tourist site. Visiting the house was worth it for me.

People need to understand that story about Romeo and Guliete is a fiction, and everything connected to them as well.
Not worth spending your time in Verona on that when there's so much more beautiful and real things to see and do.

Nice place to see. Small terrace in front of the balcony with the statue of Julietta where you could take pictures. Did not enter inside the building itself.
