We are here on our first day in Verona and absolutely loved it. We both had pizza and it was honestly the best we've ever had. We were recommended to head over to this area by our Air bnb host, as it's more traditional and less touristy than the areas closer to the main shopping streets and the arena. She was right - we were the only non-Italians in there!

Paper bag of warm bread when you sit down, waiting staff were all welcoming and friendly and food was delicious. Couldn't ask for more!

Neither of us were drinking, but the range of alcohol and cocktails served looked great too.

I have frequented this place every time Ive gone to Verona and it never disappoints.
The meat and cheese platter is exceptional and the service is always great, I'm not sure if me talking Italian to then goes along way but guys try it as there's nothing worse than going to someone else's country and not even attempting it, it will get you a long was with waiters and bar men.
Back to the food, the food was plentiful and efficient and the wine and beer selection was great. The restaurant is very good value for money and the tables outside under the arches are a lovely place to sit and enjoy your meal.
If you want an informal meal this is the place to go and it's great to walk along the river after.

My husband and I had lunch, lasagna and pasta. We ordered water with gas and they delivered naturale (still) instead, brought 2 glasses of wine when I ordered one wine and beer. When I pointed out their mistake, the water just shrug and said "Oh" . Staff were very unfriendly on top of terrible pasta. For €11 all I got was smallest cut up shrimp and tiny piece of zucchini in very greasy sauce. After we had a great lunch yesterday at Antica Amelia, near this restaurant, for €10 for tasty pasta, glass of wine and a free bottle of water, with friendly service, it was a huge disappointment. No wonder I didn't see the local Italian customers here like Antica Amelia which was full of business people and local family dininers. This restaurant must be able to be in business due to tourists who are generous during their vacation.
Next door couple even didn't get a bag of bread, that most of Italian restaurants serve even the customer don't want, to charge "copperto" usage fee for table, utensils and service in lie of service charge(tip in USA).

Food was mediocre at best, staff uninterested, wine serving meager and they charge a 1.50 euro cover charge just for sitting down. Save your time, money and palate.
