“Disappointing, shame on you Hilton”
Reviewed 23 May 2012

We are currently spending our second of two nights and at 1139 pm there is so much noise from the hotel workers cleaning a kitchen and restocking that there is no way to sleep and I even have ear plugs in! This is the worst Hilton I have ever stayed at and we have stayed at Hilton's all over Europe and the US. Being overpriced you would think you would get good service but no such luck. We arrived early and in order to accommodate us they upgraded our room, which has turned out to be a big mistake. No view except of another building that is part of the hotel, our room was not stocked with any amenities and it took two requests to get a kettle, noisy, noisy noisy. This hotel is inconvenient to Venice, you can't just walk out the door and go do anything let alone find a olace to eat. The free shuttle only runs hourly and if it's too crowded you either wait or walk down the way to the other water taxis and pay a high price. The staff have been courteous but not particularly helpful. The layout of the hotel is confusing and one tends to get lost. The fitness area only has one treadmill!? The decor is gorgeous in our room and throughout the hotel but that is the most positive thing I can say in this review. It is not the worst hotel but definitely the worst Hilton I have ever stayed in. The whole place just feels and behaves in a disorganized manner, like there is no direction or instruction for how things should run. We are expecting our check out bill to have some "extra" charge on it as this seems to be what happens in Italy.

Dear Guest,
First of all we would like to thank you for taking the time to let us have your impressions about your visit at the Hilton Molino Stucky Venice.
We are sorry if we did not entirely meet your expectations: we have discussed your comments at our Head of Department meeting for action and review.
May I take this opportunity to confirm that our complimentary shuttle boat runs every 20 to 40 minutes from 8 am in the morning to 1 am in the night with the only exception of 1 hour break in the afternoon. In addition, Alilaguna public lines stop also in front of the Hotel, with direct connections to the Airport and the Cruise Harbour. Also, the ACTV public transport station is only a few minutes’ walk away and connects any part of Venice with departures every 10 minutes.
The Molino Stucky Hilton is located in the Giudecca island, a nice and quieter location, only just a 12 minutes boat ride away from the crowded city centre and is specially appreciated from guests and visitors who like to enjoy a more relaxing side of Venice. It also hosts a number of good restaurants, some of them belonging to the old Venetian cooking tradition, which we will be glad to recommend at the next opportunity of a visit in Venice
We apologise for the inconvenience regarding the noise, and we are delighted to inform you that we have a project running to improve this.
Although you express some disappointment, I hope we will have the opportunity to welcome you back in the not too distant future so that we can demonstrate the high level of service we are renowned for.
Best regards.

Stayed at MANY hiltons - this is one of the best ones ever. Great views, amazing service, wonderful amenities. Do not worry about being on the other side of the island - there is a shuttle every 30 min but I found public transportation (5 min walk away) very convenient (runs every 10 mins)

This really is a lovely hotel but it is located on an island that requires you to take either the Hilton Shuttle or a water taxi. This requires some planning and often we were too tired after coming back to the hotel to think about going out again on another boat trip. Our executive room was lovely with a stunning view of the canal. A warning, though, the rooms facing the canal are very loud Friday and Saturday as you can hear people partying on the canal until the early morning. We laughed about it but it may not be right for everyone. You have to pay for the wireless, which is absurd, considering what one pays for this hotel. The connection itself was maddening! The executive breakfast is nice and the staff reminded me of the larger buffet available to me as well. The executive club happy hour is mediocre. When I was by myself, service in the lobby bar and Skyline bar was appalling and I was ignored. Bigger groups received immediate attention. The front desk staff are efficient and friendly as is the concierge. The food was ok, but nothing special.

No WiFi available in your room for €500 to €1000 a night? Bell boy left one of our bags on the boat. His response? "Nobody's perfect". Food was very disappointing too.

The positives? Very nice rooms and location is good too

We are very sorry for the lack of service your have experienced from our bell boys: I have addressed the issue to the Head Concierge to avoid similar incidents in the future.
