Our family stayed here for 3 nights in early June and couldn't have been more pleased with our stay in a true Venetian family-owned and operated hotel. I did all our research on Trip Advisor and this hotel seemed to have the right blend of location, price and good reviews. It was our first trip to Venice.

LOCATION
Less than 5 minute walk from the Rialto Mercato vaporetto stop (which most of you will likely take if you fly into Venice). It's on a narrow street at one end of the Rialto Market and a minute or 2 from the Rialto Bridge. What was great about the location is that as you venture around Venice, just follow the signs for "Per Rialto" to get back easily. It's a 20-minute walk to San Marco Square or the vaporetto that takes you to Murano and Burano. It's in a pretty quiet part of the city but very close to any nightlife. Plenty of restaurants are within a 10 minute walk.

HOTEL
Reception is on the 2nd floor, so you have to walk up a flight of stairs (no big deal). Roberto is the most gracious and helpful person and carried our luggage up the remaining 3 floors to our room. Check-in was a breeze. Roberto also gave us a small map that was very helpful on several occasions. The windows in our room closed tightly and truly blocked out all noise at night (it was pretty quiet, however). We had a large room overlooking a small campo (square) with ample space and a clean/modern bathroom. The 3 of us fit very comfortably. Breakfast was terrific and gave us the energy we needed every morning. The A/C unit was quiet and efficient.

Overall, we couldn't have picked a better place for our visit and Roberto and entire staff made us feel very comfortable.

Room Tip: We stayed on the 4th Floor in the Gueratino - a lot of steps, but gives you a great sense of privacy. 2 windows provided nice views overlooking the campo and nearby rooftops.

At $120 american dollars a night, it wasn't the cheapest around, but the location was excellent. It was just a short walk to the water taxi. Interesting market stalls for produce was very close by. Vibrant bar scene surrounding picturesque square. Room included free wi-fi. Sink in room , but shared bath.Clean room but small and somewhat run down( character?). Breakfast was great with many choices.Rick Steves' tour group was staying there at the same time.

This place is terrific! Upon arrival, it was a little difficult to find but it's always expected that the first thing on anyone's agenda in Venice should be to get lost! After you get familiar with the area though, it's a breeze! As we entered Pensionne Guerrato, an older couple was about to check out and they had commented that we would "have a great stay" as they had stayed there numerous times and had nothing short of wonderful experiences. And I have to say, they were right! Pensionne Guerrato was a wonderful unexpected on our trip. If you've ever traveled in Europe or to any major metropolitan city, you know that finding a place in a good location that is clean and spacious all while maintaining a reasonable rate can be difficult to find. Not here!!! Our room was very, very spacious and the bathroom could've accommodated three people alone! The location can't be beat... less than a five minute walk to the Rialto, 10 minute walk to St. Mark's Square, and a 20-minute ride on the vaporetto to the train/bus station. Plus the service was impeccable. I loved staying here and I will be back!

We stayed there for 2 nights, we have a quad room on 3rd floor. The location is very good, it's not noisy at all. The room is huge with 2 queen size beds, and a good size bathroom. The room is very clean, so are the beds, the towels. The included breakfast is simple but sufficient, it would be better with fresh fruits. We are very happy with Pensione Guerrato, we will return if we ever go to Venice again.

This place is terrific! Roberto and Piero were very attentive both before and during my stay. The hotel is located right next to the Rialto Bridge in a great neighborhood. The vaporetto is right there as well as the food market. It is close to many great shops and restaurants. We had a quad room and it was small, but very comfortable. Having air-conditioning was very nice, since you could close the windows at night and block out any noise from the square. Breakfast in the morning was very good and the staff was friendly. They even did a load of laundry for me! I look forward to going back to Venice and staying here again.
