location? St Marks under 5 mins Rialto under 10. Apartments..unbelivably spacious for area. Staff? get it just right ..there to help if asked but not pushy in any way.. Ambiance?... don't worry if not in one of the the canal fronting rooms.. most seem to have side views and you wake up to the sound of the passing gondala's.. Character?... Loved the shutters and furniture...oh! and air con is fantastic! would i go back? already researching dates!! (and as a p.s. the water taxi journey to airport..granted not cheap at 110 euro ...if affordable is a great memory in itself with hotel mooring pick up!)

When we arrived in Venice from Verona by car we had some doubts about finding the hotel. In fact we took a bus from Mestre viale Stazione, then the vaporeto #2 in Piazzale Roma to Rialto Mercato and then we walked 5 minutes guided by the hotel webpage instructions. Bembo street is a very small one (maybe 1 meter wide) and it was the only moment we needed to check with locals.
The hotel is a fully recicled 17th century building. It has an exclusive entrance next to a small channel and a bridge. The area is quiet and very nice. Location is great: 3 minutes walking to Piazza San Marco and 3-5 minutes to Ponte Rialto. It is located at a few meters of Campo San Luca. Lots of shops, grocery stores and restaurants are all around.
The apartment was clean, tidy, confortable and really huge for our expectations. A living room with an extra double bed and a kitchinet, a very big master room, a complete bathroom and a small extra room that we used to keep the bags. In fact the apartment is much nicer than pictures show.
Donatella and the other members of the staff were all very kind and proffesional. Check-in and check-out were both an easy process. It was a great experience for I and my family in one of the best worldwide touristic spots!

After the cramped quarters of our London hotel, this place was like moving into a castle. It had 2 huge rooms (TV only in the living area room), 2 full baths, plenty of big begs (the pull outs were very comfortable and large), kitchen and laundry machines in room, A/C, a lift (our room was on the 4th floor corner overlooking canal/bridge). A family could stay in these rooms for week (or weeks) and not feel cramped. I booked through Hotels.com.

Front desk staff were very friently and helpful. We used their recommendations for dining locations and 2 of the 3 were quite good.

We took a water taxi (Venezia Taxi) from the airport (120 euros) - I know pricey- but it took us directly to the front door where the desk clerk was waiting. We might have found it otherwise but with lots of luggage walking around Venice would've been a pain.

Very close to San Marco and Rialto Bridge. Hard Rock Cafe is 1 block away.

They didn't serve a breakfast which is probably the only downside. We went to a pastry shop they suggested for breakfast 3 days, and the hotel right next to this hotel has a breakfast buffet that is quite good.

This hotel is outstanding in so many ways; the location is fantastic a short walk to St Marks and Rialto in the other direction; the building and rooms immaculate and the staff incredible from the meticulous cleaning staff to the ever so helpful front desk staff including Guido and a lovely lady and another gentleman that worked in the evening that were very friendly and helpful.
I felt extremely satisfied with every aspect of this hotel. The bed was comfortable but could have been softer - this is really personal preference and a minor detail.

Guido checked us in to the hotel and showed us the room and explained all of the facilities including kitchen, washing machine, airconditioning and offered us complimentary Prosecco brought to the room with glasses. All restaurant and sightseeing recommendations were fabulous. While in Venice we used a private guide to tour St Marks basilica and the Doges palace her name was Fiona Guisto and she was a fantastic guide; a wealth of knowledge and was very generous with both her knowledge and her time. She was organised and offered great advice via email prior to our arrival in Venice.

We caught a water taxi to the hotel from the railway station. The water taxi driver tried to tell us he couldnt reach the hotel due to the high tide! thanks to tripadvisor I had read that others had the same problems so I insisted he take us all the way to the hotel and after a short standoff he obliged and took us to the door :) I offered a tip for his trouble but he declined which made me think he knew he was doing the wrong thing.

All was forgotten the minute we walked into the reception of Corte Grimani as the welcome was so warm and friendly and the service remained the same for the 3 days we stayed at this wonderful hotel. Would recommend as the only place I would stay in Venice. This hotel was so clean convenient and great value with so much space in the heart of Venice.

Thank you Corte Grimani for keeping such high standards and creating some great holiday memories for our family.

If you're not used to find your way around in Venice, prepare to spend a good bit of time to locate this place. It's next door to a large Armani boutique.

When we finally found the place, a friendly woman welcomed us (24h service) and directed us to a giant 4-6 persons apartment with A/C, washing machine, full kitchen (costs extra), 2 bathrooms and lots of space. Nice and quiet. Wi-fi works perfectly.

Venice holds a lot of tourist traps. This is not one of them. You get good advice from the receptionists and they will inform you about all extras BEFORE you accept them.

Check-out was as fast and smooth as check-in, no extra surprises on the bill.

If you go by car, you may want to park at the Tronchetta parking lot - book the VIP ahead, and your car will be locked up in the shade for just 30 Euros per day. Waterbus no. 2 takes you directly to/from Pza. San Marco or Rialto bridge in about 25 minutes. The hotel is a 5 minutes walk from the two stops.
