this hotel is not worth the money, rooms are too small and strangely the whole room smells like toilet whenever we used the flush, it was disgusting. and why do we have to leave the key at reception? this hotel doesn't give us the comfort of safety because reception is usually unoccupied, front door is always open.
i would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
Ca' Dogaressa is the perfect hotel in Venice.
We were very well taken care of by the owner and his staff. The room was perfect.
The hotel is situated by one of the canals in Canareggio and you can take your breakfast by the canal watching the barges, vaporettos and water taxis sailing by.
In the afternoon you can order your beer or lokal white wine from the bar next door.
Stayed here for the weekend and got to say it was perfect, great to get from and to the airport and close enough to walk to eveything else in venice. The rooms are great, the breakfast was really nice and the owners were very friendly. Would stay here again and would reccomend to anyone.
We had a night in this hotel. The hotel was far than expected to the train station. The room was clean but didn't have any view at all. There was a weird noise in the bathroom. We planned to cook breakfast in the shared kitchen but the hop was broken. All in all, the hotel was no where near my expectations.
My husband and I stayed here last week and enjoyed the quiet and convenient location. The customer service was great, our room was ready early and they let us store our luggage on our last day before our train. The room was lovely and they provided toiletries and hair dryer. Only downside was the walls were thin and we could hear the reception area and the person next door snoring loudly. Luckily we brought our ear plugs. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel if you want a quiet escape from the heavy tourist areas. Great restaurants nearby as well!
