“Bright, well cared for apartment in Guidecca”

Recommend highly as al alternative to both the Hilton, and crowded Venice. Apartment was as described, and more. Lucrezia's communications were excellent, and her people were very helpful . She checked in to see how it was going when we were there! Clean, well, maintained apartment in a residential-hotel complex that was made from an old factory. The shuttle to Venice was right at the hotel, and ran every 15 mins. Not loads of dining options, but a couple of very good ones.

“Stay here - you won't regret it!”

My son and I had the pleasure of staying at the Stucky House Suite for just under a week in October. Communication with Lucrezia was really prompt and helpful; on arrival we were met off our water taxi by Daniela with the key to the apartment. She spent some time showing us around even though we had arrived quite late in the evening. There was a folder on the table full of information – we especially found the vaporetto timetable booklet extremely useful! The apartment itself was light, airy and comfortable, and there was everything we could possible need for a great stay. As we were mother and son, we also used the sofa bed in the lounge. This proved to be very comfortable and provided a good night’s sleep. The bathroom is incredible, very large with both bath tub and shower. The washing machine was located in the bathroom. The unique feature of this apartment is the “kitchen in a cupboard” which could be closed off when not in use. The apartment is very quiet, we heard no noise during the night either inside or outside the building.

The location of Stucky House on the island of Guidecca is excellent. Transportation to and from the main island of Venice was absolutely no problem at any time day or night – we used both the vaporetto stops of Sacca Fisola and Palanca as well as the free Hilton Shuttle boat. We also had cocktails in the Hilton Skyline Bar, an experience not to be missed, especially at sunset. Near the Palanca vaporetto stop is a lovely pasticceria where we gave into temptation and had “second breakfast” every day! There is a large Co-op supermarket just 10 minutes walk away and had everything we needed.

There really was nothing to dislike about Stucky House Suite. I would have no hesitation in booking this lovely apartment again on our next trip to Venice. Thank you Lucrezia, for giving people like my son and I an opportunity to experience another Venice.

“A really good place to stay”

A very spacious appartment. Comprises a comfy lounge area, a large marble bathroom with his and her sinks, a large bedroom, dining area and decent kitchen facilities. Lift or stairs take you to the third floor where the accommodation is situated. Reliable free shuttle boat to St Mark's and Zattere runs frequently. We were there for a week and loved Venice, clear blue skies every day and all day. Plenty of good restaurants, a few with their own wines proved exc value. We had a private water taxi both from and to the airport. We'd pre booked and we walked straight on to the boats. A great way to travel! We did a walking tour of Venice with timed admission to St Mark's that we'd pre booked with Viatour. Our guide was a well informed Venetian lady and we reccomend the company. We visited The Correr Museum etc and bought our tickets in advance. There were no queues at the museum. You can enter the cafe at The Correr without having to purchase admission. There are great views of St. Mark's Square, it's an oasis! At St Mark'sBasilica there was a queue when we were with our tour guide and it was great to be fast tracked. A couple of days later we visited again about an hour before closing time and just walked straight in. No admission charge to St Mark's Basilica. The Doges Palace was fantastic, so much to take your breath away! Another highlight was a visit to The Fenice Theatre, well worth 9 Euros per person. What amazing decor, we'd say it's a 'must see'. We must have been in every church in Venice, they all had the wow factor. A few charge a few Euros and it's well worth it. There is a supermarket about 5 min walk from Stucky Molino and a baker on the waterfront. You can leave luggage in building 812 but must collect by 5pm. The only downside were the mosquitos in the appartment. We managed to kill them and kept the windows shut in the evenings. The lady who greeted us with the key etc didn't speak/understand English but we managed to communicate and she seemed pleasant.

“Great location away from the crowds”

The apartment is situated in Guidecca only a short free ferry ride from the Hilton next door We were so happy for the location after visiting St Marks Square so happy that we choose over the canal St Marks is a must see however food and drinks overpriced and crowded . We found several nice eateries near our location no more than 15 mins walking for most plus good coffee with a tremendous view of Venice without the crowds The facilities are great, bedding very comfortable, we travelled with our 16 year old who slept in the separate lounge area which provided privacy with it's connected door to hallway Huge bathroom with a deep bath much appreciated after many hours of walking Wouldn't bother with the Hilton next door most of the staff didn't want to know you once they found you weren't staying there very unfriendly reception when we inquired about the rooftop bar enough to turn you off having a drink there No wonder there food areas were nearly empty every night We were very comfortable in our apartment and found a great supermarket with a good selection of food beer and wine about 15 min walk away plus a great bakery and fruit shop about 5 min away

“Great Location and Apartment”

Wonderful to get away from the craziness of the tourist throng around St Marks to this lovely, well equipped apartment. Easy to use the Free hotel boat, or the public vaporetti to get around. We loved Giudecca island. Worth giving La Planca restaurant/cafe a try for excellent food, and the Co-Op in the adjacent side street if you're looking for a good supermarket.

Good communication and support from the owner and her local contact.

Would happily return to this apartment.
