Our family of 5 stayed for 3 great nights at the Moresco.
The hotel is an easy walk from the train station and this should not be underestimated in Venice where walking is everything.
The walk to Rialto and St Marks is wonderful or the vaporetto stop at Piazzale Roma is very close by.
The rooms we had were well appointed and exceeded our expectations.
We had a great Breakfast each day that kept us going, all the usual fare, cheese, meats, pastries, fruit & juices. They also made coffee and eggs to order.
On return each evening there was a lovely gathering with finger food provided.

The staff are one of the hotels greatest assets. We were greeted warmly on arrival and every interaction was first class. The restaurant recommendation for my wife's birthday was excellent.

We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Me and my boyfriend stayed here for two nights. The hotel was only a 10 min walk away from the train station. We were greeted with a very friendly welcome, glass of prosecco and some lovely brioche, we were able to relax while the staff finished we booking in process.
Our room was fantastic, canal view which was spotlessly clean and quiet at night.
The hotel is situated in what we thought was a perfect area, the main attractions were only about a 30 min walk away at most.
Each evening the hotel had happy hour where you could relax with a drink and complimentary - very tasty nibbles were put out.
The staff were always very helpful and friendly, giving us great advice for our trip and reserving tables at lovely restaurants.
One day when we do return to Venice we will without doubt return to this hotel. It made our special trip all the more enjoyable for us and we can't thank the staff there enough, we have already recommended it to our friends and family.

Everything was just perfect in Hotel Moresco: from the room to the friendly staff, the complementary snack buffet every evening and the cappucino at breakfast buffet. My boyfriend proposed in this hotel, and the staff had organized roses and decorations on the room, just perfect! I would never go anywhere else next time I am in Venice.

Room tip: Canal view on request

When choosing a hotel in Venice there is a compromise that needs to be considered as a result of the complete prohibition of motor vehicles in the city. You can a) choose a hotel close the major attractions around St. Marks’ Square which will be convenient during your stay but possibly difficult when considering getting heavy suitcases through the city, across multiple bridges, etc. (although an expensive water taxi from the airport is also an option), or b) choose a hotel closer to the outskirts and then travel to the attractions on a daily basis. We chose option b) and are so glad that we did. Hotel Moresco did everything possible to make our arrival in Venice and trip to the hotel as easy as possible. Our plane landed at the Venice international airport and the hotel arranged a land taxi/limo to take us as close as possible to the hotel. The chauffer was waiting for us at the arrivals hall and it was only a 15 minute ride to Piazzale Roma where he parked the car and even helped us carry our suitcases on the five minute stroll to Hotel Moresco, Sestiere Dorsoduro 3499, Venice, 30123 where we were met with a glass of Prosecco and a very easy check-in process. We booked the Moresco Hotel based on TripAdvisor reviews and are so glad that we did. As soon as we arrived we sampled the complimentary appetizers in the wonderful library/bar area and got to meet some of the other guests. The bar has multiple comfortable tables and chairs and is filled to the rafters with decorations and furnishings to look at and explore. The outside garden area is also very pretty and great for relaxing when the weather is warm. We received a complimentary bottle of Prosecco in our room which was very much appreciated. The room was a good size and even though we were on the ground floor it was quiet and secure. The rooms and the bathroom were clean and well furnished. The hotel provides complimentary maps and are happy to order water taxis if you need to get around the city quickly. The customer service is perfect and all the staff are super-helpful and willing and able to go out of their way to surpass expectations. St. Mark’s Square is a 15 minute walk away and this actually talks to another advantage of staying in a hotel away from the main Square - you get to walk though Venice and see the City at various times of the day and night and truly get to appreciate this wonderful place. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Venice.

We booked this hotel based on Trip Advisor reviews and we were very, very happy we chose Hotel Moresco as our place to stay in Venice. We loved the hotel. It is a small boutique hotel, providing wonderful service. Our room was spacious, very clean and very quiet. But the staff really make this hotel - they are so gracious, helpful and friendly and the added touches like the bottle of Prosecco in the room and the lovely food provided for drinks in the evening in their lovely drawing room, and the lovely outdoor garden area all add up to a really special stay. The team at Hotel Moresco are incredibly proud of their hotel and it flows through to how they treat their guests. We would definitely here again.
