The hotel was located in the accademia district of Venice within easy reach of San Marco and the Rialto bridge.
Clean, basic rooms but very spacious. Breakfast was ok - selection of cereal, fruit, yoghurts and croissants.
The staff are very friendly and helpful - they prepared a coffee for us early evening as there are no facilities in the room. Good value for money and would defineately stay here again.

I booked this hotel after hours spent on here researching hotels and in the end it surpassed expectations, the room, location, and atmosphere was everything we wanted.

Located on the San Trovaso Canal, we had a junior suite with a canal view towards Zattere. This room was is in a building separate from the main hotel, however this in our opinion was great and gave us a feeling of having our own apartment, with the benefit of having close at hand 2 hour front desk.

The room was tastefully decorated in period furnishings, and of an excellent size, the highlight was however, the view. The pictures I have posted give an idea! The view over part of real living Venice and the noise and comings and goings was a treat, and really highlighted Venice is not yet some sort of disneyland. The early morning dustbin boats, deliveries and such like added welcomed reality to this stunning place.

The hotels immediate surroundings, that is the canal on which our hotel faced also has many interesting things, from the gondola repair workshop, San Trovaso Church, and University building to a great little restaurant, Taverna San Trovaso, which we ate at, and where locals outnumber tourists, the famous fabulous Al Bottegon with its delicious chicheti, and an ice cream and sweet shop with the best pistachio ice cream and home mousse we have tasted - when we ventured out from such lovely immediate surroundings, the Grand Canal/ Accademia bridge and vapparetto stop were a couple of minutes away to the North, with Zattere and the aliaguna stop five minutes walk South. The overall area of Dorsoduro felt vibrant, alive, and like home.

If you want to stay in an area that is not only a great location from which to explore Venice, but retains some semblence of 'true real' Venice, and the stay in a period building with stunning view, am not sure how this place can be topped. We paid E99 per night for the junior suite canal view, including breakfast, and it was worth every penny

We are going to visit again in December and stay if available in the same room

Some useful information - not criticicisms but 'heads up'
if your room faces onto a canal, it starts getting noisey from 6.00am
the hair dryer in the room was poor so ladies, my girlfriend recommends bringing your own!
the breakfast is limited - bread rolls, jams, cereal, youghurts - we liked it, others might expect more?

Room Tip: Have a canal view room as this will be a highlight of your trip

Located in a calm neighborhood. Helpful staffers. Spacious, nicely decorated and well equipped rooms: fridge, hair dryer, safe. Reasonably priced. Free wifi. Supermarket (Billa), restos and snack bars are a short walk away. Ok breakfast. Small bathroom, very narrow and slow elevator. But can't complain, I've booked a room for 5 people, for 2 nights and paid only 290eur. Best group rate found at booking.com

location was good, it was near the accademia bridge, 10mins walk from san marco i'd say.

hotel directions given was really clear, i had no trouble finding the place, lift was small and slow though but i had no big issues, i've been to rome and florence, lifts were all small and slow.

hotel owner prepared a welcome wine for us as we are on a honeymoon, very thoughtful! i love the canel view, right below my room was a bar and i love people watching from my window. i liked the vibe but they close early so it wasn't a problem at night.

hotel staff will be there 24 hrs, makes me feel safe.

floors were a little old though, a little creeky.

breakfast was average, cereal, yogurt, milk, juice, coffee, ham.

The position is really good to discover Venice, just steps away from the Accademia bridge (where there is also the Vaporetto stop). Rooms are comfortable, not spacey but big enough. Personnel is kind, available 24 hours and helpful for different matters.
Breakfast is alright: cereal, milk, yogurt, juices, tea, coffee, croissants, bread, butter, jam, cheese and ham. Would be nicer to have fresh bakery instead of being of the frozen sort (the half-cooked kind that is put for minutes in the oven before serving).
In general, a really nice place.
