Five minutes walk from St Mark's square, slightly more to Rialto, easy to find, easy street to wheel your case along. Small hotel, but run by wonderful staff who are so helpful, knowledgeable, always ready to give you time. Rooms are comfy, but not big if you are thinking of spending a lot of time in the room - but they do have big sitting rooms and reading materials in the hotel so you are not in a small room. Breakfast room attractive and good selection. Definitely a good choice, choose here and you won't go wrong. It is not a hotel for kids in sense of lots of things for them to do, but then you don't go to Venice to play in the hotel.

Room Tip: If you struggle on stairs need to get a lower floor

Dear Mr. Klaus,

Thanks very much for your good review. It makes me happy to read our staff had a positive impact on your visit: at the Serenissima we always try to make your stay special, helping with tips and suggestions, and, why not, sometimes fun facts on the history of Venice.

It is true, we do not have the biggest rooms on the market, but the spaces of Venice are reducted, that is one of the peculiarity of being on a island.

Feel free to contact us directly, or through our website, for your next stay, I am sure you will have an other positive experience.

Kind regards
Andrea

Very typical venetian family hotel. Clean and friendly. Excellent buffet breakfast. Short walk from Saint Mark's Square. Close to public transport and there is a landing for a water taxi used by the hotel. Reception staff speak English. Not suitable for disabled travellers as there is no lift. Close to really good bars and restaurants. Room are of an adequate size for bath or shower. Ideal for families as well as single or double travellers.

Dear Guest,

Thanks very much for your positive review. You covered all there was to say. I am happy you had a good stay with us.
Your review gives me the chance to suggest to all our future guests, who would like to arrive with the water taxi, to ask for the "stop" Corte Grimani - Boggi, which is the closest to us.
I am also happy to say that, besides English, French and Spanish, we do now have reception staff who speaks fluently German and Russian. There is always space for improvement.

Do not hesistate to contact us directly for you next stay in Venice.
Kind regards
Andrea

Our room was gorgeous - really spacious and with a large wet room en suite. Lovely garden to enjoy in the Venetian sun and it's only a very short walk from St. Mark's Square and all its glories. If you visit, do go up the Basilica's campanile (there's a lift) as the views across the city are awe-inspiring.

Charming and very helpful staff who can't be faulted but unfortunately they are let down by the hotel. Two of us stayed in a room that slept 3 on the third floor (no lift) where there was barely enough room to swing a cat - certainly two people could not move around the room at the same time without falling over each other and the bathroom was the size of a cupboard. The room was sparsely furnished, shabby but clean and had only one electric socket by the door so charging phones, camera etc. had to be left on the floor. Pillows were in desperate need of replacement - hard and lumpy - and there was only one spare blanket (much needed) supplied in a room that catered for three people. The hotel was very noisy both with noise from the street as well as other guests, especially late at night. A buffet breakfast was served between 7am -10am but when we arrived at 9am it had been stripped almost bare and we had to wait for a table to become available in the dining room. Would I stay here again - no, but there is a sister hotel in a quiet courtyard around the corner that looked much better.
