The first hotel you see exiting the train station and a short walk over a bridge. The room small but so much character. Relaxing bath and bed. Chocolates on our bed...yummy. A huge array at breakfast and lovely coffee. Reception staff accommodating. Restaurant had a nice selection. Easy access to water taxis, restaurants and shopping area. A great base to explore.

Had a fabulous couple of nights here, the decor of the hotel is absoloutely beautiful and really fits in with the glamorous and ornate olde worlde image of Venice. The location of the hotel makes it very easy to find from the bus or train station and also easy to find on your way back from the main attraction at San Marco as you just follow the signs for the piazzale Roma or Ferrovia and you cant go wrong. we found the nicest part was walking through all of the little alleys and across the bridges around the quieter parts on the way to San Marco square which does take a while as there are sooo many picturesque places to take in and of course photograph but its an easy walk and also many shop windows to ooooh an aaaah in on the way. There are some great restaurants a few minutes walk away from the hotel too including a lovely one called Ginos which was that nice we ate there both nights. The hotel is great value for money the staff are all lovely and speak very good English and there is a great choice in the included breakfast which sets you up for the day of taking in all the amazing sites that Venice has to offer.

Room Tip: The quieter rooms are at the back of the hotel but the rooms at the front have great views overlooki...

For visitors coming by train, this hotel is as good as can be. With a vaporetto pass you can reach anywhere very quickly and conveniently. The rooms are generous (for the price) and the breakfast was much better than most other hotels we stayed in in Italy. The complimentary trip to Murano for a glass blowing demo was a bonus. The free wi-fi in the reception area works well. We'll stay there again

Room Tip: The canal facing rooms have a better view but you not enjoy it as a visitor doing the rounds anyway...

The Hotel is in a good location near railway station. Information centre nearby where tickets can be purchased for waterbus, which is the easiest way to travel and also the cheapest. Some way from San Marco, and out of the main tourist area, but it is so easy to hop on waterbus and get off wherever you want to. It is just a few stops to Rialto Bridge & Market. We bought 3 day pass, which allows you to travel as many times as you like, even over to Murano. The hotel is typically Venetian, our room was a little small, with very little storage for clothes, but was spotlessly clean, bathroom also small but clean. It was at the back of hotel, which was a little dissapointing. Breakfast was varied, with a reasonable choice, served buffet style. Staff were pleasant & friendly. Restaurant prices were very high, so did not dine in! Lots of little bars & local places are much cheaper. The only problem is getting over the bridge with suitcases. The hotel did not offer any porters on arrival & on departure charged 10 Euros for porter. But, a nice hotel in quieter location.

My partner and I stayed here on our visit to Venice last year. The decor is very fitting for its location and it's very central to everything. I would highly recommend.
