A great hotel which is also fairly new!

Brilliant and smooth check in, and the rooms are really nicely furnished. On the small side, but was all we needed for the one night stay.

Slightly odd that even in the Twin rooms, the wall to the bathroom is made up of frosted glass which is straight onto the shower area, and shadows can be seen. Apart from this, it’s great!

We had our 4 kids with us and had 3 rooms between us. I didn't quite appreciate that the hotel is next to the train station and was a little worried at first. However, this ended up being quite ideal as we only had about 24 hours to spend. We arrived by train and walked to the hotel. All major sights are within easy walking distance without paying the extra coverage charge to stay right next to them. The other bonus was that our cab could pick us up the next morning in front of the hotel (no traffic is allowed beyond the train station) and take us to the airport. The rooms were super clean and comfortable. You could still smell the new carpet. I only wish they offered free coffee in the lobby. You do have access to instant in your room. Would stay again...

This is a nice hotel. Not sure what will happen to the prices once this becomes established, I believe it opened in Feb 2018, but at £470 notes for four nights over Easter there can be no complaints. It is a lot better value for money than its Venetian counterparts. Modern, stylish, and well positioned. If you’re checking a map and see it’s a way from St Mark’s Square do not despair. There is plenty to do in this area and if anything the location is better than the hustle bustle of the centre. Aside, St Marks Square is easily locatable either on foot through the windy canal streets or via the boat bus (20 Euro pp for 24-hour ticket). Both options can take 25 mins but there is plenty to keep you amused en route. In the hotel room there’s a fridge, a table, a hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities. Air con a bit weak but bed very comfortable. TV mainly foreign unless you enjoy bbc world news (no thanks). There’s also a USB plug point in the room. I should also mention the convenience - we took a no5 bus from directly outside the airport (v frequent runs every 15mins), it took 20 mins and cost 8 Euro each. You get off at the last stop and you will see the hotel from this stop too, literally stops just over the road. I cannot underestimate how essential this is as we saw loads of people on iPhones trying to navigate through the streets for their hotels. No need here- dead easy.

Venice in general is lovely, a stunning place worth seeing but I would caution the proprietors to buck up their ideas in terms of costs and charges- they really are hell bent on fleecing tourists and offering little value in return. It is almost impossible to order just a glass of wine, it is bottle only in most places and there is a distinct lack of general bars (mainly restaurants serving over priced average food). If you do want a quiet drink there’s plenty of cafes devoid of atmosphere for you to sit in the back and think you are anywhere but Venice. Because of this the term “once in a lifetime” has never felt more apt - it was worth seeing but we won’t be back. If this is your destination though, you will be grateful for the experience and will not go wrong with this hotel. Top tip- three nights or less, four was too many.

The hotel is located within a 7 minute walk of the train station, a minute walk to the main bus station and main parking garage and 2 minutes to the main water bus station, so all of the major transportation modes are very close. If you are looking to stay by St. Marks square where the touristic stuff is look elsewhere.

We arrived at 2:30 pm and received a room upon check in. When we entered the room we found that it was not made yet. We went back down to the lobby and we were told that check in is at 3 pm and that we should wait a few minutes in the lobby until the room is ready. After a 10 minute wait we were told that the room is ready.
We had a room with 2 twin mattresses. The room is very small, think about a cruise ship, around 180-200 sq ft. There was not much of a view but it was very quiet, the only noise we heard was from the room next door.

There is a weird thermostat in the room that we couldn't figure out. Bathroom toiletries included a ball-shaped soap, shampoo, bath gel and body lotion. There was no conditioner and no wash cloths, if you are used to those. There was also no bag for laundry. There is a kettle to heat up water, instant coffee and tea bags and 2 bottles of water in a minibar looking appliance that was not cold. If you are used to leaving light on at night, bring a night light with you. If you leave the light in the bathroom on at night, it shines on your bed through the shower's screen. The hallway light turns on and off together with all the lights in the room so you cannot turn it on individually.

Buffet breakfast is $18 per person ($10 if you are a Marriott gold member). Breakfast is served from 6:30 to 10:30 am. Breakfast included various meats, cheeses, pastries, bread, hard boiled egg, yogurt, cereal, jam, Nutella, juices, water, and a coffee machine that has cappuccino, hot chocolate, and other options (no scrambled eggs).

Good value, convenient to get around, nice staff.

Checked-in last 19 March for 7 nights to celebrate my wife's 61st birthday. This is the best 3 star hotel we've been, ticks all the boxes - in fact, exceeded our expectations. Opened just a month ago, smells brand new, simple but very modern touch, high floor to ceiling, super comfy bed, very close to coach/ train terminals and water taxi/bus stops yet so quite and relaxing inside. The best value for money, definitely worth recommending although I would'nt be surprised if they raise the room rates given the very high satisfaction ratings made by their guests.
