Well off the beaten track where the tourists tend not to go as they follow the herd to the classic landmarks, this find illustrates the virtue of wandering where you will when in Venice. Just two other tourists were here while we were but a host of locals enjoying their usual family lunchtime. There is no gluten-free provision but still I found the food I could eat was authentically local and of high quality, also well priced. The host was friendly, helpful and efficient. The interior was a cool and tasteful retreat on a hot day early in summer. Though it took us ages to get here form Piazalle Roma, with the advice of the waitress we ploughed a straight route back to the bus station and, although ‘traditionally’ inaccessible it is now a doddle for us to get straight there. Well recommended.
