I found Caffe del Doge on a blog (thecoffeevine.com) when I was google searching for good coffee in Venice. This place is excellent! Just a short walk from the Rialto bridge off a quiet street, there are 7 hoppers full of different single origin coffees and the baristas know which is sweet and which is full bodied and which goes best with milk. By far a jewel in Venice's cap! Giulia Enzo was our barista and she was excellent! She seemed the best English speaker of the bunch. Also, the pistachio muffin--OMG. And the chocolate one. WOW. Okay, fine, the apricot jam muffin was also excellent! Hahaha

This is my favorite place to get coffee in Venice! I recommend the "cappuccino veneziano." My husband and I go here each time we visit Venice and they have been consistently good each time over the time period of three years.

Great coffee and brioche and used by locals. It was recommended to us by a tour guide and she was absolutely spot on!

We found this cafe 6 years ago and have been back a few times since... luckily it's popularity on 'trip' has not affected it's quality or prices... it has always been busy but not manically so, each time we've always got a table. The staff have always been friendly and cheerful and the products on sale good quality and very reasonably priced.. we've had ice creams, hot chocolate, coffees, tea, pastries, cakes and never been disappointed with anything. It's also used by locals so you don't feel you are in yet another tourist cafe.

quaint little place with excellent cappucino! The cannoli wasn't so great and the seating place is small. DON'T sit down if you're not ready to pay 3 euros extra! This is a common practice in Italy. Learn to stand when drinking coffee like the locals do and you won't be charged to SIT!! lol
