Hotel Al Santo
Ranked #22 of 45 Hotels in Padua
Reviewed 26 April 2012

My wife and I stayed at the al Santo on April 20, 2012. The room was clean, modestly furnished, and challenged by sounds from the kitchen/bar below in the evening. The hotel is well located within the center of Padova and a relatively easy walk to the train station. A friendly and helpful owner operates the hotel. Professor-007

Room Tip: Request quiet room w/o sound from DJ & kitchen crew.

5 minutes' walk (with luggage) from the Santo tram stop (buy your tickets in the Station -- there is no vending machine at the station tram stop itself). 12 minutes to Scrovegni Chapel, 10 minutes to center of town/Piazza della Frutta.

Working elevator, large lovely room overlooking a terrace (no access, at least from our room). The staff could not be nicer -- everyone really wanted you to have a good visit in Padova.

They have an attached Ristorante al Santo, which is open on Sundays -- very exceptional in Padova! While a full-service restaurant, the wood-oven pizzas looked especially good.

The review title says it all: I don't see how one could do better in Padova.

Room Tip: The street is quiet, so I don't think that is a worry

Very helpful, courteous and friendly staff. The woman at the desk when I arrived helped me book a boat tour on the Brenta River to see the Venetian Villas, gave me a map of the city and recommended things to see and do as this wasn't my first time in Padova. The restaurant/pizzeria was very good. I didn't have to go far to see all the sights. Walking was easy. Bus to and from the train station very near the Basilica.
