We spent 2 nights in the Turin Palace Hotel to see a city we hadn't previously visited. it is well located by the main railway station and within walking distance of the citie's attractions. There is a small garage for parking your car if booked in advance. The staff were friendly and helpful and their welcome very warm. We were shown the hotel facilities and our bedroom, which was simply but tastefully decorated and furnished, with a superb bathroom en suite. Our view wasn't particularly wonderful, that presumably costs more, but the room was very comfortable and the window opened onto a small balcony.
Dinner was excellent, expensive but with a discount for residents. Breakfast in a beautiful duck egg blue and gold room provided an excellent choice of foods from the buffet. We tried to avoid the tempting plate of chocolate!
Staff booked the Egyptian Museum visit for us and advised on restaurants and features of the city.
It was a really wonderful stay and we'd return if ever in Turin again.

This was our first trip to Torino and we were very pleased. The city is wonderful in its charm, grid-based layout (easy on navigation and orientation), food and people (much more understated than their counterparts in Rome, Florence and Venice. Similarly, this hotel is very understated, yet well appointed. The lobby and common areas are elegant yet tasteful. A diminutive bar is set along a beautiful and peaceful sitting lounge. Breakfasts are set in a lovely dining room and with excellent selection of fresh and regional offerings. The rooms too are simple yet functional and super clean. Wonderful wood floor and an ample size bed and comfortable beddings;numerous electrical outlets throughout and a large walk-in size closet. Most important for me is the bathroom. This one is great--plenty of counter space and a wonderful shower and bath tub. One oversight in many write ups on this hotel is that there is a full-floor sized roof top terrace with great panoramic views of the entire city. Lastly the Staff: Like all Torinese, they are all incredibly gracious and hospitable. Don't let the location detract you. It is a very pleasant 15 minute walk to the city center right along the spectacular Via Roma or other parallel streets that are wonderful with great shops and eateries. Our highest recommendations! Happy travels.

We stayed here from 7th-10th May in a superior room.
My husband had booked this as a birthday surprise for me and he was a bit worried that after emailing the hotel with room requests, he hadn’t had any replies. When we arrived however, the friendly receptionist Simona said they had received them and all requests had been noted, although they hadn’t replied.
They allocated us a lovely room on the 5th floor (508) and had very kindly left a birthday card in the room for me along with a selection of chocolates, strawberries and biscuits on a plate.
The room was spacious with a lovely view over the rooftops, clock tower and snow-capped mountains in the distance.
Free soft drinks in the mini bar replenished daily (coke, fanta, lemon and water). Kettle with tea and coffee provided. However, strangely for a four star hotel they only ever left us one milk sachet at a time. When we asked for more, they bought us just one again (enough for one cup). For the remainder of our stay the hotel ran out of milk sachets for the rooms but they did offer to bring us some fresh milk, which they did once in a very small jug, just enough for four cups of tea!
The bathroom was spacious, very clean and had a large walk in shower. Bathrobes and slippers provided. Towels were fluffy and new. Toiletries replenished daily (shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion).
Free safe in the wardrobe and hairdryer provided.
TV was a bit of a challenge. We were unable to switch it off some nights and it just kept re-booting itself, so maintenance were called and said to turn it off from behind the TV (Common problem apparently).
We sat at the lovely roof terrace for early evening drinks. Beautiful panoramic views, although you did have to pay extra over the lounge bar menu for the privilege of drinking there. (Incidentally the lounge bar was closed anyway, so you had no choice but to drink on the roof terrace).
Breakfast was mainly continental although they did have some dodgy looking scrambled eggs and bacon in the hot section. They also had a chocolate table and nice pastries.
Staff were not very attentive or friendly at breakfast, but reception staff were all incredibly smiley and friendly.
We had a taxi transfer from the airport which was quite pricey, but got the airport bus back as it was so convenient. Airport bus was literally round the next corner from the hotel and only cost 6.50 euro per person (buy tickets at the bar next to the bus stop). The buses run every 15 minutes.
I would thoroughly recommend this hotel for its position, refurbished rooms, roof terrace and lovely spa area.

Room tip: Avoid the front of hotel as overlooks a busy road and station
