With only 20 seats, we were lucky to get a reservation for four.
The interior is sober, modern and agreeable.
All to concentrate on the food. And it is exceptional, either a la carte or the menu.
Before even starting we were pampered with small, delicious pre-appetizers meant to show the mastery of the Chef's cuisine.
Two points are worth noting:
* the service is exceptional in the pure French tradition (example, plates would not be removed until all guests have finished their plate)
* the wines are excellent and mark up is more than reasonable
Considering the price we paid in other restaurants in Orta San Guilio, Locanda di Orta is very accessible and offers fantastic value.
