While it is not easy for a medium-priced restaurant to rise above the rest in the crowded Milanese food scene, "Al Basilico Fresco" has clearly succeeded, if only for the peculiarity of its pizzas made with slow-rising dough. The leavening process can take up to a week, thus making the resulting pizza very easily digestible.
Service is attentive, prompt and courteous.
The evening atmosphere in the restaurant is very pleasant.
