Nice hotel with lots of history. 5 mins from train station. Friendly reception staff. Had 3rd floor room at rear. Small balcony with high wall, so no view when seated. Very quiet and peaceful away from the main road. Room tidy but bathroom a little tired. Tiny shower cubicle. Interesting toilet flush ! Free room safe. Good breakfast buffet but needs a toast machine instead of a 2 slice toaster to speed things up. Student conference was on ground floor but it's so big we were not affected. More of an impersonal business hotel than a tourist hotel but still a good base for seeing the sights. Great location across the road from Santa Maria/Cenacolo, so easy to pop over pre-breakfast at 7.45am to queue for spare tickets. About 20mins walk to city centre along busy noisy roads with trams.
Recommend Navigli area by the river, Porta Ticensie, Colonne de San Lorenzo, La Triennele de Milano as well as all the main sights.More
