Yes, they are delicious. Yes, the flavors are unique and perfectly balanced. The minus is that they are very expensive, probably too much (from 5 euros up). I will probably have one eclaire from time to time. For an every day use, it is plenty of perfect pastry stores in Milan where at the same price you can have a lot more and be completely satisfied.

Of all of the culinary adventures I experienced this time around in one of my favorite food cities, this would have to be my #1 favorite new find. We came across it during a window shopping stroll and luckily for us we were in the mood for a little sweet pick-me-up (or 5!!). These eclairs are TO DIE FOR. Since we shared a few the first time and then I swung by to pick up a dozen a couple of days later to take to a dinner party, I got to try several of these beautiful darlings. First of all, they are almost too beautiful to eat (but I will gladly eat them anyways). The box I took to the dinner was the talk of the night (hey l'Eclair de Genie: those 20 new customers that walked in when the doors opened the next morning? Yeah, you can thank yours truly!) I mean, who knew the wonders that could be created with pâte à choux??!! Everything from the concept to the packaging to the service is impeccable.

Must try flavors (they said they change regularly too):
Vanilla pecan (I died)
Salted caramel (who can resist the pleasures of salty-sweet, i mean, really?!)
Lemon yuzu for creativity that seriously results in deliciousness
Pistachio and chocolate (I took like 10 pics of this beauty before eating it)
And a few different ones with berries that were totally in my color wheel too

Honestly folks, If Julia Roberts' character in "Eat, Pray, Love" had stopped off to have a treat at this place, the movie would have been limited to one location as she would have eaten, prayed and loved all in the confines of this patisserie. Would have made for a boring movie for sure, but it will be a revelation for your taste buds when you go here. And if you are looking for brownie points from someone (or eclair points in this case), take them a little gift of these delectable gems and you will never be forgotten.
