We can fully recommend this B&B. The rooms are spacious and the beds very comfortable and more central is impossible. Cristina was so friendly and supportive, although we made quite some trouble as we were 40 minutes late due to a closed bridge across the river Po.
Price-Performance 1a, the breakfast in an Italian Cafe rounds off this nice stay.
Definitely one of the best B&Bs I have ever visited

Parking in the nearby piazza was convenient as was the ground floor access to our room. Cristina is a wonderful person who makes sure that all your needs are met. The daily cleaning and service of the room was of a very high standard. We appreciated the warmth from the heated towel rack in the bathroom and the kitchenette was adequate for preparing simple meals on the occasions when we did not eat out at one of the many nearby restaurants. The wifi worked perfectly, the hot water was always hot, the bed was comfortable and Cristina was a pleasure to meet. We would have been happy to stay longer than the five nights that had been booked and we would strongly recommend this accommodation to anyone wishing to visit Mantova.

Room Tip: The ground floor room was private, quiet and easily accessible with outside seating in its own private courtyard.

We have just come back from a three night stay here and it was perfect - exactly what we needed. Central location, good price and a lovely breakfast provided a short 20meter walk away in a lovely café in the main street. Cristina is the best host and will help however she can. Highly recommended! Thank you

My sister and I visited Mantua (Mantova in Italian) for a three day stay. The Agora is a slightly old fashioned but well kept and very central B&B and is run by the charming Cristina who, as other reviewers have said, is the most welcoming and helpful host.

Wanting separate bedrooms we booked the two room suite with a shared bathroom which suited us perfectly and being given tokens for breakfast at a lovely authentic cafe around the corner was great. All the other customers were locals, either having a quick espresso at the counter before going to work, or more leisurely people like us having coffee and pastries.

Cristina also recommended restaurants for dinner and lunch including the hard to find Quattro Tette. I won't translate as it's a little bit saucy but well worth a visit! The cooking is basic Mantuan food, simple but tasty. But beware, they serve horse meat ('Cavallo' if I remember correctly). Luckily there was a young couple sitting next to who,of course, spoke English and translated some of the menu for us!

For such a small and easy to explore town Mantua has a wealth of riches to explore, especially the Palazzo Ducale and the Palazz Te - both wonderful. You need at least two full days there, if not three.

Everything was absolutely perfect. I spent too little time in Mantua, so I must come back. I will definitely book at the Agora.
TripAdvisor wants me to write more, but quality is more important than quantity.
