We spent a wonderful 3 nights in Agora and loved it. The apartment was tastefully done up with furniture that looked like it came from Ikea. It was clean, large, had a nice kitchenette, and spacious toilet (but the shower room was rather small). Slippers were also provided, which was a very nice touch. Cristina had excellent recommendations for places to eat and we weren't disappointed with 2 - the first was a hole-in-the-wall place behind Agora that's open only for lunch (called the "4 breasts"), and the second called due Cavallini, which was some distance away. Both had excellent food, friendly staff and were reasonably priced. The hotel is just a few steps away from the tourist office, main squares and a supermarket. We had a great time in Agora and would return.

Room Tip: There are 3 apartments, all furnished the same. We had the apartment that's on the same level as...

This place is fantastic!!!

I've Worked it high class establishments and the standard of this apartment is excellent!!!!

the location is perfect for everything whether you want to see the sights, which are all less than a few minutes walk away if that, or eat in a fantastic restaurant, which are in the piazza a few seconds walk away and stay open late. the breakfast is delicious and close by, the apartments are modern very clean and have everything you need. Cristina is very friendly and helpful and even stayed late when we had to check in late due to train difficulties.

Mantova is a lovely town the sights are incredible we spent hours in the palazzo ducal and plenty of time in the breathtaking San Andrea and Cathedral. there is lots more to see but the town is so clean and smells lovely. the people are very friendly even if you speak zero italian like us.

tomorrow we are visiting Verona but Mantova will be hard to top!

This is a B&B type apartment, fitted out in the modern style, a bit basic but very clean and comfortable. Excellent quiet location just off the main street in the old town. The only drawback is it smells a bit -something to do with the drains. The very heavy air freshener made it worse, not better (matter of taste!) so we unplugged it. Also, inconveniently early checkout time of ten AM. But it was very comfy and there is not much choice in central Mantova, a gorgeous town we are so glad to have visited. The restaurant directly across from the Agora , the Leon d'Oro, was excellent. Note: Mantova lies in a district of badly polluted swampy ground, and the smell is even worse out of town - but don't let that stop you! It's well worth it.

We stayed at this centrally located B&B for 1 night in April 2009. As it was Easter, the price was a bit more than stated on the website, 100 euro/night.

The small B&B is recently decorated in a modern design style. The rooms are large and airy with a sitting/dining room with a small kitchen fill with the necessary appliances (cooker/fridge/dish washer/ cutlery and plates). There is also a sitting room part with TV and CD player.

The bed was comfortably firm with nice linens and towels. Bathroom is sizable with a separate washroom to the main toilet / shower room. The place has been recently renovated, however, we had a bit of a smell coming from the shower drain.

The location is great, right in town, off Piazza Erbe with a nice delicatessen shop around the corner. No noise at night despite it's central location.

This is a B&B, so there is no 24h service for check-in / check-out, for example check-in is limited to 17:30 to 19:30. Had it been more flexible, we would have stayed an extra night. It might be possible that the owner would accommodate this, however, as the owner/staff (?) does not speak any English (and our Italian is very limited) we had to go by what the website stated. Other slight oddity is that you have to pre-pay half the cost when booking - this is done by PayPal so quite easy and smooth.
