Katie's cooking class takes place in her home in the hills of Como. My daughter and I decided to do the Organic Pizza and Gelato class, which we loved. There were also two other couples plus one family of four. We had a good time getting to know other Americans while in Como as Katie taught us how to make delicious and light pizzas using a sour dough bread starter. If you are visiting Como, you should put this on your list of things to do. Well worth the 4 hours. Katie takes the time to answer questions and allows everyone to participate in the cooking class where YOU get to prepare the food and then eat it.

14 members of our US ski club took a cooking class with Katie. We learned how to make Crostini di Polenta, Pizzoccheri, and pear gelato. The class took place in Katie's wonderful home, in a kitchen furnished with modern equipment throughout. Chef Katie is an expert with the patience needed to competently teach all levels of students. Lunch was outstanding in an elegant setting, and all of us raised a glass of wine to our teacher in appreciation of what was the highlight of our short stay to Como!

A ski club group recently did the Make Bake Como. Katie was just wonderful in explaining the techniques and ingredients used in our menu of local Pizzoccheri,Crostini Lombarda and gelato. We all enjoyed eating the fruits of our labor! Would do it again for sure!!!

I had a baking class with Katie to learn baking bread and pizza. She was really nice and the class was interesting and easy to understand. She introduce us in the world of different flours and yeast, then she let us practise giving all sort of information and support. We made our bread and our Pizza and we ate it all toghether enjoying the company and a good glass or wine. I will have another class for sure!
