We booked hoping this hotel would be a boutique type similar to others we stayed in and we were 100% pleased. It’s family run by Michele, Marcello and their parents. It gave us the feel of what a B&B would be like with the feel of a larger hotel. The rooms are appointed well with balconies (fortunate to have one) or large windows, fully air conditioned rooms and a relaxing comfortable environment when you return from a busy day touring the area. Close to the ports for travel and many fine restaurants. They provide breakfast in the morning. Which hits the spot before heading out and serve excellent espresso.

We will definitely stay here in the future when we come back to Bellagio

Michele, grazie mille per tutto, siamo state contento.

Having visited Bellagio several years ago we were delighted to revisit this town on the shore of Lake Como . Hotel Centrale seemed perfect , small, family owned , in the centre of town, easy access from ferry. It was no surprise to find an elegant hotel, traditionally furnished , comfortable rooms with an outdoor courtyard to read and a roof top terrace with peeps off the lake. The staff were very friendly and helpful and even carried our bags to the ferry.

Hotel Centrale is a wonderful family run oasis in a hidden corner of Bellagio.

The location is simply great - a beautiful garden by which you enter up one of the beautiful Bellagio stairs/alleys, just a few minutes walk from the lake shore. A lovely, shady oasis by which to return to when Bellagio gets too busy. Super close to some excellent wine bars - we recommend you try Aperitivo et Al, Cava Turraciolo, or Angelo Divino.

We have stayed at Hotel du Lac on a previous visit to Bellagio but we think we enjoyed this better - it's such a relaxing, quiet and contemplative place. Despite some of the earlier reviews, we thought the breakfast was more than adequate with fresh hard-boiled and scrambled eggs - plus meats, cheese and fruit - served each day alongside the excellent Italian coffee and good service. Rooms are clean and tidy, very quiet and very cool despite the hot weather. We had a great terrace to relax on also.

Highly recommended !

The Hotel Centrale was an excellent surprise. I was traveling alone and looking for something that was a good deal but close to everything. This was perfect! It's about a 5 minute walk from the ferry (it is up a stairway, but it's so charming!) so the location is PERFECT. I was close to everything and could easily stop by to freshen up during the day. My room was small but impeccably clean. The decor is kind of old fashioned but looked very Italian. The staff was friendly and kind.

This well-situated hotel in the heart of Bellagio is charming and the surrounding restaurants and shops are easy to access. St. James Church is close by and the Hotel is a short jaunt from the ferry landing making it very convenient to everything in Bellagio. We arrived by car, which was a challenge (to find a parking spot), but if you arrive by ferry, it is quite convenient and a lovely hotel. Breakfast was a generous continental selection as well as hot items; coffee is made to order and the service was personable and efficient. I would definitely stay again. Wonderful restaurants and bars footsteps away in the evening!
