Usual brilliant standard of cooking and service from this less-formal (as opposed to casual) restaurant in the Grand Hotel Villa Serbelloni right on the banks of Lake Como. Italian but very finely executed with nice twists on traditional Italian flavours - even the tiny margherita pizza. The burrata with caponata in a bread 'boat' was a triumph.
My only complaint goes like this: I mistakenly ordered an organic 'orange' wine. I picked it based on it's origin and foolishly didn't read all the way the end of the line on the menu where it said 'organic'. Mind you, that still didn't necessarily say 'orange' wine to me. When it came I tasted it and said although it was technically fine I didn't like it and I'd made a mistake in ordering. I ordered another bottle of Gavi di Gavi that was fabulous and enjoyed a good lunch in a delightful setting. My gripe is simply that they charged me full whack for the bottle. Next time I'd suggest they either checked that the customer knew it was a new-fangled 'orange' wine or took off a bit of their margin on the bottle.
