I don't usually bother to write comments but Seriously this place is Michelin starred?? I cannot believe it because the food is only so and so, we took the the tagliolini with Puccini mushroom that they recommended, the taste is good but costs 36 Euro?!!! And only then I understand why they don't put that on the menu,,, we feel being cheated. And the service is so awkward,, the floor manager looked very nervous rambling around without actually paying much attention to the guests, the environment is nice and elegant, the price is at fine dining level, however the service is very below the level.. We ordered a glass of amarone, a young boy served the wine without letting us taste first and just poured and left,,didn't bother to ask us about it... we notice he did the same as well to other table obviously not as trained as his other senior colleagues.. the floor manager or the lady in charge of ushering guest is very blunt and talked in such a loud voice that it really disturbed our dining experience. We asked for the bill but 15 mins later waiting later she was still rambling around nervously without actually paying attention to us, it was early lunch hour the guests were scarce so no excuse for this reluctance.

"The variation of fish from como lake" is a joke, they are all cooked fishes but served cold,,, looks and taste like fish pieces taken out of can,,and smells like cat food, so dry and strangely stinky, could've served with lemon or sauce to get rid of the smell maybe? And I really doubt lake como grows salmon..

And don't take anything off the menu otherwise prepared to be charge a ridiculous price. And they didn't even have the courtesy to give us receipt, just a handwritten note like from street food restaurant, I expect more from a place like this but we left feeling disappointed and cheated.

Overall we left the

We booked a last minute table for lunch and are so glad that we did because this was a little gem in our trip. A welcome glass of Prosecco, gracious staff, delicious menu executed well and a delightful spot. We had the tasting menu because we couldn't decide what to choose from the regular menu - excellent.

On our second night in bellagio we decided to visit. Late to make a reservation we were told only tables inside were available. We took it. Upon arriving we were welcomed by the friendly front of the house staff with a glass of sparkling. Our waiter made a few recommendations where we ordered two appetizers. He uncomfortable was pressuring us to order our entire meals from the beginning despite us saying we wanted to wait to see how full we were. The attitude was present and that was the last we saw of him.

The appetizers were delicious. Beef tartare and squash blossoms. Yum! Service could use improvements. It looked like as long as you sat outside you were attended to excellently. For us, dirty dishes sat in front of us for quite a while. And we felt slightly ignored.

The front of the house stepped up and took our dinner order. It was subpar. We should have stopped with appetizers. The John Dory with Panko and ravioli with anchovies, spinach and ricotta. Nothing special.

While this place comes highly recommended by trip advisor we thought it was just ok.

We had a really delicious meal here and would highly recommend a visit. The welcome glass of prosecco, amuse bouche and petit fours at the end of the meal were all very nice touches, and the staff were extremely friendly.

I had the scallops and my husband the beef tartare (this is very filling although amazing) and both were delicious. I also really enjoyed my nettle gnocchi- a very unique and special dish.

The main courses were slightly less impressive which is why we have awarded 4 instead of 5 stars, although it could have just been what we ordered (mixed lake fish and the John Dory). These were certainly enjoyable enough but not on a par with previous dishes and not quite what you would expect from a fine dining restaurant.

Overall though a lovely experience and definitely something we would recommend during a visit to Bellagio!
