Stayed here for three nights as a part of a Riveria Holiday of the Cinque Terre
It is a lovely hotel - located by the bay with wonderful views of the sea and the gardens
At the back - the gardens are very well maintained with a swimming pool and sun loungers
The bedrooms are not especially large but are nicely decorated keeping in the theme of the hotel. The mini bar is free of charge
Some people on the tour complained about the noise as the walls were thin between the rooms in places but we didn't have this problem
The maids were friendly, kept the room immculate and would turn down the beds in the evening for you and leave information about the weather in your room as well as some candy on your pillow
The breakfast was very good - with a very good collection of foods on offer
The bar was a little pricey but I suppose you pay for the location±!
My main complaint was the evening food - which was included as a part of the tour. The meat eaters were reasonably happy with the food provided - but there were 8 vegetarians and the hotel didn't make any provision for them on the first night (unclear whether this was the fault of the hotel or that Riveria hadn't notified them). Initially we were just offered the salad bar - which was basically lettuce, tomato, carrot - but after complaining - some pasta was provided. On the 2nd night - we were given a plate of cheese - nice cheese - but a plate of cheese isn't a vegetarian meal. On the last night we were given a spinach dish which was nice. I just feel that the hotel didn't make enough effort to provide adequte vegetarian dishes for its customers
Apart from my rant about the vegetarian food - I would recommend the hotel - it is a lovely place full of old-world charm
