The hotel is located ideally center town, close to the castle.
The rooms are really nice and the personell is simply exquisite and very professional.
I would have added some hot meal servings in the breakfast (and ask more money becase 80 € for two people with breakfast included is not a deal - it is a dream especially for somebody like me used to northern europe pricing...).
I think they even accept small pets so great for family looking for good standing and bringing their beloved pet with them

Stayed over Christmas and was reasonably impressed. Our room was good with a large bed, ample hanging and storage space, and cleaning and room servicing was excellent. The glazing gave first class insulation from the typically Italian traffic noise outside. But oh how we would have liked tea and coffee making facilities and some decent English speaking TV channels - I do not consider just CNN and Euronews to be adequate.
The bathroom was functionally good but in need of an overhaul and modernisation as regards décor.
As for breakfast, it's on the right side of adequate, but the chef attended omelette and egg cooking station was open some days but not others.
Positionally, the hotel is well placed being an easy walk from the railway station and lovely narrow streets. Unfortunately, Rapallo's best feature is normally it's promenade alongside the waters of the bay - here you can usually see perfect examples of promenading by the local ladies in their fur coats and with their little dogs - but this time the area was fenced off having been hit some weeks previously hit by freak waves which affected over 100 boats, many of which were driven onto the rocks or each other, smashed to smithereens, totally sunk - some with just their masts remaining above the water, along with the resultant escape of fuel into the bay. This has led to the closing of the promenade which hopefully will be open again for the main tourist season. There's a lot of wrecked and damaged boats and general debris to clear away before this can happen.

We choose this hotel for a family trip to “Cinque Terre” in the end of August 2018. The hotel’s location is a 5 minutes’ walk away from Rapallo’s rail station and also a 5 minutes’ walk away from the landing stages. Rapallo is basically on your doorstep. The reception gives a first good impression of the Hotel specially to mention the friendly and helpful staff. The only glimpse: We were not informed about the SPA and its availability, usage, extra charges etc. seems as there is no active selling on these amenities hence we didn’t use the SPA. We got 4 rooms: One on the street side, two to the courtyard and another to the backside of the hotel. Be aware that you have to leave the windows closed on the street facing room because of the noise and unabstracted sea-view lovers are wrong here. All rooms are identically furnished. Marble toilet with bidet/toilet and bathing-tube shower. Everything is working fine. The room is big enough for a 2-3 nights stay with TV, Safe, cupboard, refrigerator. The later I would recommend to turn-off during the night as it makes noise. Mattresses and pillows are good the linen white and crispy: All in all a nice and clean refuge after coming back from a busy day-trip. In the morning you can enjoy a very good breakfast buffet, fresh omelette cooking inclusive. We were also having 2 times dinner in the Hotel which we would highly recommend: Various menu, tasty food, friendly service and you safe a lot of “Coperto”. For the “one for the road” better ask how long they are going to serve otherwise friendliness can turn into sourness. All in all: A beautiful stay in a good Hotel with an excellent cuisine and decent personal.

We stayed for a few nights primarily to visit Cinque Terre. I am glad we stayed in Rapallo as it is a fabulous town. The Europa Hotel did not disappoint. The room was clean, the shower was good and even though we were on the first floor on the street side it was very quiet. The beds were a bit firm, but that is a minor observation. The breakfast buffet was fabulous with lots of choices and very fresh. It was a classic grand hotel that is old school but in the best possible way. I would stay again.
