We wanted a cheap three star hotel in Rapallo for one night and saw this one advertised with a small double room for 54 Euro including breakfast and free parking. We were not disappointed as the room was adequate. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It was hard to find a parking space to offload our luggage, but we parked in the public car park on the shore front, which was free for the first 30 minutes. The hotel then had a free parking space on the street a short walk away. It is close to the shops and the sea front. The breakfast was more than what we were expecting and the waitress was very efficient. Overall a wonderful experience.

Room Tip: Look out for their specials

At the end of July 2013 my wife and I stayed in the hotel for 3 days. At the first day (2 hours after check-in) we asked for the key of the safe in our room at the reception to leave our valueables. When we came back to the hotel before dinner (4 hours later) there was 1100 euro's cash STOLEN out of our safe.... only the son of the owner was in he hotel at that time.. and guess what: they keep a copy of every safe behind in the office. We went to the police and spoke servoral times with the owner, mr. Luca Jaccarino and his son. Obviously they were trying to avoid any responsibility.. I turned out to be a very bad non-cooperative story. We left and will never return. DONT USE THE SAFE AT YOUR ROOM!!!!!

Located in the center of the city, close to the sea. Entrance is in some kind of shopping mall. Small room, with view to inneryard and next balconies only 3 meters away. As a church is next door, you clearly hear the bells. Breakfast was okay! Given the low price, very fair deal.

Me and my partner were on a car trip in the Ligurian coast.
We decided to visit Portofino and chose to spend a night in its vicinity. Most of the hotels in the region have already been booked. We chose this hotel as it offered a reasonable price in a great location.
Before making our reservation we called the hotel and asked for a parking option. The reception guy Mateo was very polite and made a parking reservation for us on their private parking. Thank you for this!
However, when we arrived, we stopped the car on a paid public parking on the promenade (some 100 m away from hotel) as there is really no way to stop by the hotel - not even for unloading luggage.
Once in the hotel we were stressed by the awful welcome service at the reception by an older receptionist. He gave us the key from the room and the wifi password without even greeting us. When we asked for the parking, he explained us in poor English that it was not possible to make a parking reservation. He also explained us that we cannot leave our car on the public parking as on the next day there is a market there. We asked where to stop the car then but he did not seem to care. Forget about getting any further information about the area, sightseeing or something else. Anyway, despite the poor service we decided to stay at the hotel. We carried our luggage on our own from the promande to the hotel. Then we decided to ask once again for the private parking that we were promised and the receptionist condescended to check and discovered that indeed we had a reservation. The only private parking lot was situated a few hundred meters away from the hotel. But that was ok, especially in our case with no other parking option - either paid or not.
We have booked a large double room. It was nice and comfortable - a positive surprise for us after the bad check-in service. Internet connection of the complimentary wi-fi was ok.
We were not impressed by the breakfast but they served good Italian espresso.
The other hotel staff (the receptionist on the next morning Mateo, the chambermaid, the lady in the breakfast hall) were very kind and helpful.
The best thing about the hotel is the location, despite the parking problem. It is situated in the heart of the city center, very close to the wonderful promanede with plenty of good restaurants and cafes.
Our recommendation to the hotel is that if they improve the service, they were able to get better price and more positive reviews.
