We stayed here for 2 nights . The hotel is within walking distance to the train station and town. We used this as our base point for visiting Cinque Terre. It was perfect. Friendly staff, modern amenities, great breakfast and happy hour! The bartender Andrea was super friendly and also greeted us in the morning for breakfast. We really loved it. They recommended a fantastic local dinner spot too. Great place!

Room tip: The lobby is on the 3rd floor....a little odd.

The greater part of the hotel is located below street level, Our room had a view of a graffity strewned stair case. The room was OK but the TV was the size of an old small computer screen. On a minor note, the room does not provide a non-disturbance sign.
Best to ask for a room above street level ( 6th or 7th floor) facing the street.
The breakfast room is not going to win any design awards but the buffet was good and varied.
We stayed at this hotel as a start-off point to Porto Venere. The City of La Spezia really has nothing of any special interest to offer. Moreover, there are a lot of young male adult groups, and very few local women, roaming the streets. As such, I would not recommend this city to single women traveling on their own. Also, the hotel does not provide any room service.

We enjoyed out stay here. The room was quiet and clean. It needed a little more attention to painting and other little small items, but nothing to detract from the trip. Breakfast was very nice, with about everything to satisfy any taste. They offer a parking garage, but the places are very small. I was able to park my Toyota mini-van, but it was a bit of a challenge. The biggest plus is you can go out the back of the hotel and you are right on the main pedestrian zone, with only about a 10-15 minute walk to the train station or the activities along the waterfront.

I love this hotel!! The location is perfect because after you get out of the hotel back door, here we are on the shopping street. You can shop all day long and when you get tired, just walk up to your room and rest, then back on the street again. The hotel is really nice, the room is look really good. What I like the most is the mattress, perfect for a good night sleep. On top of that the hotel's staff is so friendly and very helpful. The free WIFI signal is so strong through out the hotel area.

This is well situated to allow easy walking into the town and about 5-10 min walk to the railway station depending on how fast you walk! This worked well for us as for €44 for 2 adults we got the train to Pisa and back - so much easier than driving!

Our room was really comfortable and well kitted out including a fridge. You could even get the BBC world news on the TV. The staff were so very helpful, going that extra mile to recommend places to eat and checking they were open as we arrived on Sunday as some places shut Sunday or Monday so they did well for us.

They even printed out our route to our next hotel when our sat nav couldn't find the address. This may be the fault of our next hotel as we discovered ( once we were walking around Florence) we only had half a street name from them on the booking confirmation so well worth checking as much as you can as this happened in France too. Dug us out of a big hole so an even bigger Thank you!!

Be aware parking is tight (about 6 or 7 spaces) if you are driving. The hotel will not reserve spaces. We were lucky someone left just as we were checking in but all the streets are rammed with cars parked up and some we think may be resident permits but our Italian is not that good. There is a car park nearby for €10 a day.

This hotel provides a fabulously varied breakfast buffet and if you ask they will make you espressos. No restaurant for evening meals but there are plenty of places to eat nearby and the hotel has some good recommendations.

We discovered from reception that March is not the season for air con to be available in the rooms. We found the hotel very warm and had to open the window to cool our room down. They did offer a total shut down of the heating but that was not really a good solution.

We had a really comfortable stay here and for the price it really could not be faulted.Despite parking and temperature it deserves a 5 purely on the second to none service from the staff and what you get for your money.
