An usual but delightful B & B which is a large apartment in a distinguished apartment building. Etta is delightful and very helpful. She sent us to an excellent authentic Italian restaurant where everyone but us was speaking Italian. Camilla, her dog, is also very pleasant. There is a beautiful view of the water from her terrace. If you are coming or going via the main train station in Genoa, this is an incredibly convenient.

I recently stayed one night with Etta in her beautiful apartment (which also have the most amazing view over the port of Genoa). The building the apartment is based in itself is quite an amazing building and is very close to the Genoa Piazza Principe station (10/15 minutes walk) which is handy for onward travel, do be aware if you are carrying a lot of luggage from the station as the walk is uphill.

Etta is incredibly caring, kind and incredibly accommodating, allowing me to leave my luggage at the apartment till very late in the day of my check-out and providing me with my own key to come and go as a please all at no extra charge.

Breakfast was adequate (then again I am a big eater) but considering the main town is only 15/20 minutes walk away, it's more than enough to get you started for the day.

I stayed in the single room in Etta's apartment which had it's own bathroom. The room itself was large and airy, the bathroom was clean and tidy.

All in all I would recommend this to anyone.

Recently stayed with Etta in her beautiful apartment overlooking the port of Genoa in a historic building. We, as others, felt as though Etta was a relative of ours. She was caring, helpful, and welcoming. Loved her dog Camilla also, a senior Lab. The accommodations were lovely and very clean. Altogether a wonderful stay and one we highly reccommend.

We spent 3 days with Etta and it was really wonderful. We had a large and beautiful bedroom with our own bathroom across the hall. The common areas are huge with a large balcony with a great view of harbor. The apt. is beautifully decorated throughout ..full of antiques that Etta loves to tell you about (ask about the grandfather clock). Etta is incredibly charming and extremely helpful throughout our stay. Camilla is among the sweetest dogs i've ever encountered. The location is very good..near to the harbor and the train station. WE had a car and could park in the building for a reasonable cost. The building was originally built as "grand hotel miremare" and such luminaries as Churchill and Ganhdi. It's incredibly charming outside and retains the huge marble lobby, stairways and great balcony. Highly recommend to any one going to Genoa. (suggestion: we discovered some really interesting horizontal/vertical funiculars in Genoa and there are apparently many of them around the city).

We spent there a whole week and enjoyed very moment in this beautiful appartment true to style. From the first moment we felt at home. It has a spectacular view over the city, everything is very clean and beautiful furnished. The location is strategic.
The host is very sympathetic and we liked also Camilla, the dog. The breakfast was very good, and well organized.
