I start with the only complaint: although the hotel is equipped with conference rooms and appropriate facilities, the rooms themselves are not very suited for a business hotel (even sitting in front of the desk was problematic in my room). That said, the rest is so excellent that it deserves five stars: the elegant furniture, the great food, the kind, competent and helpful personnel, the cozy rooms. Being on business trip, I didn't have the chance to try the many facilities available.

This is a grand hotel as it has many facilities yet no pool just a jacuzzi area crammed onto the roof. The room was good size but like the entire hotel, dated; the entire place could use an updating. Our air conditioning worked occasionally. There are several restaurants and the are very good. The staff are helpful. Parking is available and necessary for an additional 20 euros/day. Overall the city of Genoa is NOT a tourist destination it is a cesspool. I will never visit the city again.

Spent just a night there with my family on our way to Cinque Terre. Check-in was fast and friendly, room very spacious and a fantastic bathroom. Decorated in a classical style, with practically good amenities. Curtains are meant to look old, but could be changed too!
Breakfast is very generous and varied, seating spacious.
All in all a good stay and would definitely repeat it if n Genoa again.

An old fashion hotel. Good food. Nice room. Verry clean and friendly. Nice breakfast. Loved the bathroom and the terras. Verry close to the train station. It has a great view to the sea. During night you can see boats and ships.

Grand Hotel Savoia, is a 5 Star Hotel , a bit past its prime. Its location for those arriving or departing by train is awesome. They also provide you help to take luggage to the station which is just 100 m away. Its located bang on a busy road & hence crossing the road to get to it , is a little bothersome. It looks impressive & its terrace gives most fascinating view of the city. You can catch bus, metro, tram within five minutes walking distance.

Reception area matches the standard of the Hotel, though on smaller side. But then so is the tarrif . Check in, & later check out was a breeze with efficient staff who spoke good English. They also provided us help & guidance to spend our limited stay gainfully. Thanks , folks !

Decor of the room adjoining the reception area was very impressive , as all the corridors in the hotel.

Room , a tad too small, nicely decorated & appointed though a bit awkward . Safe , fridge , coffee/tea making arrangements , comfortable bed & pillows good room service make you feel at ease. Bathroom befits its 5 Star rating as also breakfast with good , tasty spread.

The high point of the Hotel is its 7th floor terrace with a decent bar & Zaccuzzi & an awesome view. Do'nt miss it.

Worth the price , indeed !

Room Tip: Room with a view of the city
