Hotel is outside of the old town and center however the subway and buses are a 5 minute walk 4.50 Euro gets you a 24 hour metro ticket good for subway, bus, funiculars and lifts so your access to the city is excellent from the hotel. The hotel is very clean with a friendly helpful staff. Rooms were nice, clean and the beds were comfortable, breakfast was good in a nice room with the usual choices. There is a small bar that puts out finger foods for the evening happy hour and done nicely. The price of the hotel was reasonable and it is very close to the cruise port making it very convenient going or returning from a cruise. I wouldn't give it a second thought, this would be my choice returning to the city.

This hotel is located on a busy roundabout in Genoa, The hotel isn't much to look at from the outside but once inside its very well decorated and sound proof. I was lucky enough to get a room with a view over the ferry terminal, the rooms are very warm and the temperature is mixed outside. The room I had was ladies room and it was nice to see the cross trainer and bath robes. The Breakfast has a large selection available, Highly recommend for a working stay.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view.

Unfortunately during winter the rooms are cold, I’ve stayed there several times and both me and my colleagues complained about it. I was lucky being given another room after they have tried to fix the heating from their computer several times with no results.

Room Tip: Try another hotel if you want to visit the center, as it is far from everything and taxis are quite expensive in Genova.

I decided to stay here based un the reviews given... i think that I am in agreement with most of them since I liked the hotel. This hotel has its advantages and disadvantages.. positive ones around staff attention, restaurant food quality and tastiness, closeness to bus and metro, rooms are clean, comfortable and amenities are good... overall value for your stay is good. Disadvantages are in terms of location... the place is hard to get to if you are driving, if metro is closed like this weekend, it make it hard to move around although bus stops are a good alternative. If you'd like to explore around and sightsee and then find a place to eat close by you will find that your hotel is probably the best alternative ... would I stay again here? YES definitively, I like it and I know what to expect... besides, dinner was very good!

Decent Hotel.
Speaking to Americans: If you are sensitive to smoke or have upper respiratory please do NOT stay at this hotel. We smelled cigarette smoke the WHOLE time. The hotel was kind enough to suggest moving rooms, however Italians do not get that the smell of is EVERYWHERE. They really should not advertise nonsmoking rooms.

Suggestion: If you are staying one night you may be fine, however if you are doing long term just go through Airbnb/Homeaway in a nonsmoking home.

Also, please keep in mind that the Hotel Staff may know how to read English but the conversational English definitely needs to be improved upon. It was difficult to communicate several times throughout our stay.

Pros:
1. The Restaurant staff did a great job every morning providing breakfast.

2. Close to pier.

3. Bus/Train is close to this hotel. Please keep in mind though this hotel is not close to the center of Genoa.

Dear Guest,

we are sorry for your review. Your room was a not smoking one, in a no smoking fllor, but maybe the previous guest ignored this, snoking in the room... we cannot hinder. Actually during your long stay we offer to you a room move several times, but you refused it. We apologize if at the arrival the room smelled smoke, but we daily clean up your room, opening the windows and using scented products, so it seemed very strange that the smell remained.. the whole hotel is no smoking( public areas, restaurant, bar) and only one floor on seven is reserved to smokers.

We are ready to welcoming you again upon your next stay, trying then to regain your confidence.

Yours sincerely,
Ilaria
